I read somewhere that the police force do send their special forces to borno to help with the fight? How true is this?

But may God help our police, some police officers during Goodluck Jonathan time were sent to some countries to learn how to fly helicopters.

Do you know they couldn't finish their studies because of lack of fund, they had to go back home.

Yes, the police have a detachment of Mobile Police men and men from the SARs(Disbanded) unit and I learnt they are performing well.

As for the NPF officers sent for training during GEJ administration many of them couldn't cope with the training in Russia. They spent 2yrs and came back without a license, I spoke to one of the Pilots and he claimed that they were expected to learn Russian language as the course was taught in their language. All of them came back to Nigeria and finished at IHFS Enugu, this was around 2012, after which some were sent to US for Advanced training (Typerating on Bells) at Houston USA.

That is interesting.

But if they had learnt Russian language, it would've given them an advantage over their peers, this can be good in intelligence.

To be sincere, i always fear a foreigner that can speak any of our language plus pidgin. These people lowkey can work as spies in Nigeria.

How did air force pilots learn to fly our mi attack helicopters then? The police is just a money making organisation, that's why we have security issues.

No be beans to learn another language within a year and use the language to learn very difficult technical terms in flying courses. Only the pressure to pass each of the 30 courses combined (pass mark 75%) is challenging even when taught in English language talkmore of Russian language.

NAF don't send their Pilots to go train in Russia, infact all ab-initio training is either done in Nigeria, and Southafrica, then advanced training in Europe, US or Nigeria depending on the aircraft type. As for all russian platforms in Nigeria NAF has capable instructors to teach their pilots advanced training on the Mi's and the training base is located in Makurdi.

How did the initial mi attack pilots learn to fly advance Russian helicopters, and use the latest Russian targeting systems.....that even Russian attack helicopters use?

Discussion Time!!!!!!!!!!!

In regards to the ISWAP attacks on communities and military bases.

let me use the Damasak scenario for example. ISWAP came into the community attacking both the military base and the community simultaneously. ISWAP spent over 6 hours looting the community, burning NGO houses and looking for NGO personnel including locals that work with NGOs.

During the attack ISWAP stopped firing at the barracks and continued ransacking the community.

1) Is it difficult for the Army and Airforce to lay out a strategy to encircle these bastards during such incidence?

2) Does it mean that if ISWAP doesn’t disturb the barracks in the community, it’s okay for ISWAP to ransack the community? Like your enemy is ransacking the community your barracks resides without hindering them?

3) Can a T-72 roll out to smoke ISWAP since they only attack with Gun Trucks?

Suggestions please cool

Make I arrange my radios and Thuraya in case e reach to run grin

I never wan die now. I need flex for the new Hustle and Bustle club in Abuja with some Gwarinpa babes massaging my back after the risky Northeast sacrifice grin grin

Where is this report coming from?

In everywar, you push forward and also retreat, it is not everything you attack because you will suffer lot of casualties even bokoharam do retreat.

There are lot of strategies and tactics when you want to attack.

I am jusy a civilian but i know all these things just from playing video games, watching war films and watching real wars on military channels on youtube.

this guy just won't give up with his fake and misleading "reports" even after being humiliated for his falsehood many times over. If I didn'tknow any better, I'd say you're a masochist. Also, as I specified earlier, the 72nd Mobile Strike force no longer exists as a unit in any shape or form. All its remaining units were absorbed into the 707 Special Operations Battalion years ago. This puts your entire "report" about "revenge operations" with battalions that no longer exist as flat falsehood, an operation which only you seems to have heard about grin All operations are still proceeding as planned with troops of Sector 1 MNJTF in the Sambisa AOR, under Op TT Phase II. Tactical planning isn't goverend by emotions but rather by logic.

Additionally CSAR is now over as both pilots are now confirmed dead..
oga which battalion you go close again after 72 special force/ strike team? because after you close 72 sf/st na dreamland that battalion dey nowoo

Make I go play football to stay fit just in case e gets to a situation I have to run to Cameroon or Maiduguri smiley
Hi Samuel! Hope you are doing okay.

Now, you are in the north mainly cos the pay is extremely good, right? I think you should consider investing a little bit of that pay in a dirt bike.
These are small and light bikes that perform extremely well in bad terrain. For sure they are better than running and escaping an attack on foot. I know a guy on Instagram who sells new or quasi-new dirt bikes for less than a million naira.
Alternatively, get a go-cart. I remember seeing a Nigerian made go-cart on Insta that costs around 500k. Anything like these is far better than trying to run on foot. Even bicycle is better.

Also, I'm sure you are probably doing this already, but always have a light bag with you containing essential items like dry food, water, money and docs in case you need to run anytime.
Take care out there bro.

If you re in the soldiers shoes, I bet most of us all would have done close to the same.
In war, all is fair and square... Most people kill the relatives and families of their opponents in retaliation..

It's not in every equation the rule applies..

Once you habour a criminal, you yourself is a criminal and an accomplice and as such should accept whatever befalls of you.

Back in my school days, if the classroom is noisy, and the prefect or authority comes in, and asks for the noise makers, and we failed to provide them, then all of us will be mass punished.. it is what it is.
In Kenya,an army convoy in 2012 stopped in Garissa en route to S Som. A Humvee stopped on the roadside to change a tyre and 2 Al Shabab guys shot dead 3 troops fleeing into a crowd of watching Somalis. Fyi,these guys are very very tight knit: they all know each other as they marry almost exclusively among first cousins. Among their sub clans and sub sub clans, trust me they all know each their uncles, aunties and myriad cousins.
Ofc,they immediately pled innocence while allowing the shooters escape. The KIA guys unit took action and very soon 3 Skinnies were bleeding and concussed from gun butt strikes. Somalis, who secretly love noise and drama began screeching their innocence even louder infuriating the army guys even more. Other units gathered as officers received info and the confrontation spread into the town some 5 km away. When it all over some 10 Somalis were shot but none fatal. But guess what? That shyt has never happened again!

Another attack on Damasak ongoing. I guess the military knows they are trying to draw them out of the easily defensible camp by pretending to attack civilians.

This time they went straight to the base. At least one NAF aircraft deployed for air support.
