I have made many brains wasting in Nigeria. It is a pity. But very possible to relocate relying on God and the brain, instead of finding a low level IQ spouse.

Sincerely, the difference is clear. You can't compare the education system of Nigeria with that of Canada education system. Canada system of education has all the available resources and conducive environment for learning.

We are facing this same thing here. The lecturer downloaded topics from Wikipedia, printed it out and sold it to us for 1500.. Everything in that material was the same in Wikipedia and he claimed to study his degree and masters in Russia.
Which uni? sounds like my owm situation

From year1 till I graduated, a particular lecturer in Uniport gave me 15/100 mark all through. Even when I knew I deserved an A for my performance in his course, he kept failing me. It was after I wrote the same course as a carryover in final year and still got that result that I protested. I got to know I was victimized because I didn't buy his textbook. But the truth was that I bought the textbook by paying to the course rep who failed to record my name among those who paid for it. He used that list of buyers of his textbook the course rep gave him to prepare our scores. Just forget Nigeria, it is a zoo!

Nigeria a country where most lecturers are demonic.
In same lands they teach students to grow, prosper and flourish but in Nigeria..they want you to fail. They are happy to have unsuccesful students.
How the education board allows this evil mentality to thrive baffles me.

I graduated from a University where NO ONE, I mean NONE has made first class in Accounting & Maths until recently 2018/2019 where a guy broke the jinx in 2019. As at 2018/2019 session, they had the first female cool headed HOD in Accounting dept. The lecturers take pleasure in failing students.

There are students that when they teach certain courses, you think they wrote the to course text books, las las na still 2.1

You may not appreciate how good you are until you study outside Naija. FACT!

The university was established in 1988.

I have a feeling that this is one of those fake stories on blogs and Twitter written just to generate followership, clicks and comments.

Anyone that graduated with a third class in Nigeria didn't understand the course or wasn't serious in school not necessarily that they are dullard. There are other courses in the university that they could have done better but they insisted on the one they graduated with a third class in.

Secondly, Did he start all over from 100 level in Canada or was he admitted to study for his Masters. If he says that he was admitted to a Masters program in Canada with a Nigerian third class, then I dey look him story one kind.

That you had a third class in one course doesn't mean that you can't make a first class in another course even in Nigerian universities. Some years ago a student that couldn't make it in Medicine graduated with a first class in Mass Communication in UNILAG.

Nigeria has a very stupid educational system, they will give u 3rd class then when you travel out to further your education abroad, you will end up becoming a top notch there.

Nigeria education system make students feels they don't know book . If he didn't travel out to try outside he would have still be considering himself a 3rd class student.

He can actually go for Pgd in Canada with his 3rd class so it’s possible or he started afresh from year one

Because of Leroy’s stupidity and clumsiness, his teacher, was always yelling at him, "You're driving me crazy, Leroy!"

One day, Leroy's mother came to school to check on how he was doing. The teacher told his mother honestly, that her son was simply a disaster, getting very low marks, and that she had never seen such a stupid boy in her entire teaching career. The mother was so shocked at the feedback that she withdrew her son from school and moved out of London, and relocated to Birmingham.

Twenty-five years later, the teacher was diagnosed with an almost incurable cardiac disease. All the doctors strongly advised her to have open heart surgery, but there was only one surgeon in Britain who could perform the operation and he was located at the Birmingham Clinic. Left with no other options, the teacher decided to have the operation, which was successful.

When she came round after surgery she saw a handsome young doctor smiling down at her. She wanted to thank him, but could not talk. Her face started to turn blue, she raised her hand, trying to tell him something but quickly died.

The doctor was shocked, wondering what could possibly have gone wrong so suddenly. Then he turned around and saw Leroy, a janitor in the Clinic, who had unplugged the life-support equipment in order to connect his vacuum cleaner.

If you thought for one moment that Leroy had become a heart-surgeon, there is a high likelihood that you may have voted for this government,

A third class indicates that you are below average score of between 40-49%, a post-graduate diploma of 9 months followed by a master degree is very common in the UK.

Well, he could be telling the truth, as I indicated in my last comment....having seen similar examples by myslef. Some students play around in Nigerian universites, then get serious when they get aborad. (or even change university in Nigeria)Chnage of environemt, and all that.

But the thing is, he could also be telling tales by moonlight.

At the end of the day, having spent a while on the internet, anyone can tell a story.
My friend back in futo, Titus was your typical ‘backbencher’ and at sometime he lost interest in school work and piled up carryovers. He traveled in our third year to Texas and enrolled in a college. He graduated with distinctions all through! Infact he was helping American citizens with history tests lol. True story. I want to add that he wasn’t actually dull from the beginning, but the university system will make you start doubting your own intelligence and will crash your self confidence.

I guess that's his own opinion, everyone can't have the same mindset. if he chose to school in Nigeria, that's his own wish. but me I will never let my kids school in Nigeria, even if it's a private school, no way.

Hyping and Lies.. Nigerians always feeling like they're the smartest in the world..lol..Always blaming the government, lecturers, etc.. Since we're so smart why don't we have plenty inventions to our name.. Why are the Chinese, Japanese, Russians and co leading in major scientific discoveries, space and rocket calculations, robotics, etc.. Thomas Edison, Micheal Faraday, Albert Einstein and co were poor in their lifetime and didn't have any support from their government but still discovered some amazing theories in Physics and other inventions to their name.. Even in games that requires a high IQ such as Chess, no Nigerian Grandmaster.. All you guys have is just Nigerian Mentality.
Who said chess requires a high IQ?? You just need average intelligence to understand the rules and play the game. Are you saying every chess grandmaster is a genius? Totally false! And if Nigerians had the same environment to nurture chess talents we will have a GM by now. It’s all about your environment. We’ve had our International masters beat grandmasters in tournaments abroad.

Just wait until you do your MSc or PhD in this country. You will know what full blown sadism, corruption and psychopathy looks like.
the rate at which they waste people's time on thesis work in this country is alarming... A masters program designed to last for 1year six month do take some people 5years or even more. Some will even abandon the program because of waste of time. Same goes for PhD too.. Time wasting is the order of the day.

Oga, he said he took an IQ test as recommended by the school. No be the school dey do the IQ test.

It doesn't show the high quality of our schools. Schools that can't even rank among the best in Africa. It just shows how the Nigerian educational system is fcked up and makes things unnecessarily harder for its students.
