I must admit you have not visited your Okene, 85% of Okene people are traditionist, almost all their homes hang tortoise, an average Okene man is a tout, always happy to destroy, very violent set of people, they give birth like housefly. It’s only in Okene that 15-20 people sleep in a room. the only thing I don’t know is the fraud aspect. But at others Okene people are miles ahead

Captain Hosa Okunbor is the father of Prince Tsola's wife. That same greedy Captain Hosa who was so divisive in the last Gubernatorial election in Edo State, sending paid thugs to attack the convoy of Governor Obaseki and Wike and others on their way to the palace. I do not expect the Oba of Benin to tell Ayiri to do what is right. The Oba is a good friend of Captain Hosa and he will want the son -in-law of his close friend and confidante to become King in Warri as this current Oba was the Royal Father of the day when Prince Tsola Emiko Married Ivie Okunbor in 2014

Chief Ayiri should understand that The Oba of Benin can not impose anything on him because tradition is tradition. Laws have outlasted Obas in Benin and just like no other prince but the first son of a departed Oba of Benin can become King in Benin, likewise no son of an Olu whose mother is not an Itsekiri or a Bini woman can reign as King in Warri.

Chief Ayiri should never allow anyone to blackmail or force him to surrender the customs of the Itsekiri people as very powerful interest groups outside the Iwere Kingdom are doing everything possible to water down the selection process. For once, I am supporting Ayiri in this matter - ATABRATA, DO THE RIGHT THING and do not allow anyone to confuse or control you, whether Oba or no Oba - Ooni or Alaafin, just do the right thing!!!!

AYIRI should follow what Obaseki did in the last election in Edo State. When the Oba of Benin invited Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu to his palace, the Oba was almost telling Obaseki to chill and allow Ize-Iyamu become Governor and he took swipe at the Deputy Governor Phillip Shaibu, trying to intimidate him. - Obaseki stood his ground and told the Oba, "I swore an oath to protect the people of Edo State and that is what I will do"

The Oba's body language was tilted in support of Ize-Iyamu and we all saw it but today Obaseki prevailed and the Oba has no choice but become friends with Obaseki again - So Ayiri, as long as you are doing the right thing, learn from Obaseki, never back down!!!!!

You are mixing apples with Oranges. For example - The name Lagos is a Portuguese word for Lake, Oya go and invite Cristiano Ronaldo to come become Oba of Lagos now, since na Portugal get Lagos, Agbaya - Ile Ibinu ko, Ile Iluji ni grin

Even Bini is a Yoruba name. Same with Ọmọ no Ọba. Informed people know that Binis and Edos though used synonymously means different things.
Edos are pure race of the Igodomigodo or Ogiso people.
Binis are the Edos with Yoruba bloods, that is descendants of Oranmiyan a pure Yoruba Prince then and later an Ooni of Ife

Why is it that only Binis can become Ọba (another Yoruba word) of Benin if Yorubas are not the lord of the land?

Can you really prove the fact oromiyan truly came to benin to establish a crown, or you're just talking on the regular dogmatic false history circulating the internet

The name bini originated from the itsekiris when the Portuguese inquire from the itsekiris on the shores to describe their overlord, they referred to the edos who were their overlord as ilebinu angry people, Portuguese pick the name henceforth to refer the edo people as benin without the edo peoples knowledge of such name

The benins were literally unaware of this name benin or ilebinu, the Portuguese and Itsekiri had named them, as they referred to themselves as edo people which every surrounding tribe had a version of the word edo to describe them, ado, idu and co

When you claim that because Benin is from the yoruba word Ile Ibinu, (which is a fact) therefore yorubas can decide who rules Benin or Warri, by that same logic Lagos is a Portuguese word, let every Oba of Lagos be crowned hence forth based on the consent of the Portuguese government of King of Portugal. shorrop, Ogiame Ikenwoli's mother was not not yoruba, that was a strong reason why he became Olu in 2015.I know alot about the Warri Kingdom.

"WHERE WERE THE YORUBAS WHEN IJAWS AND URHOBOS WERE KILLING ITSEKIRIS BETWEEN 1993 to 1997?"

When I travel to Warri and I listen to their radio broadcasts in Itsekiri, I always understand what they are saying, their language sounds so much like Yoruba. Even Ologbotsere is also a yoruba name for a high ranking Chief or prime minister.
