You don't need to pay anybody to do your passport. You can get the enhanced e-passport by doing it yourself and it will be ready in 2-3 weeks though this is only available in Lagos and Abuja for now. Your application can be done on your phone and you use your ATM card to pay the government-approved fees. You will be given a date for capture and once captured, your passport will be ready in 2-3 weeks. I did it and my wife has done hers after mine. Same duration

I am also having same issue, I applied for me and my daughter since August but we are yet to be issued our passport since then. Someone should pls come to our aid. I have really suffered alot to secure this passport with no positive result.

I heard the booklets are now ready, just left for dispatch in the next two weeks and them another 9 working days to reach each other states. From Abuja HQ

this one you just showed me is the new passport and it is done in 3 stste only in naija namely, Abuja, lagos ikoyi and port Harcourt. but the old type of passport is not available.

Strangely enough, someone informed me that ALL the core northern states' passport offices have booklets but some deliberately hoard them (for the purpose of getting bribed for "Express" service).

If you need it so urgently, go back to the passport office and ask for the PCO (Passport Control Officer). Explain your plight to him or her and plead for assistance. You may or may not be asked to pay extra, depending on the individual's moral sensitivity/conscience.

I heard Buhari is trying to terminate the contract the nigerian government had with the company printing the booklet in Malaysia .hence, causing some legal battle between the parties. This is the only reason we having booklet scarcity for now.
I did mine in 2019 with express and recieved it that same day in Abeokuta but now the same guy that did mine back then is unable to get me booklet for my wife and children after paying for express since February 2021
