Hello everyone here. Please I want to enquire on the following about uniport med school. uniport med students should please help me. These questions apply both mbbs and bds

1. School fees
2. Level of passing through 100lvl to final year. Hope it isn't as frustrating as UNN.
3. Standard of living in PH city.
4. School environment.
5. Does BDS have good future prospect?
6. How is uniport dental surgery school. I read in an article that they suffer certain constraint such as no equipment and student source for patients.

That's all I remember for now. Thanks and God bless.

To answer your number 5, the only reason why I think MBBS is anywhere better than BDS is that, you have the opportunity to change specialisation with MBBS.

But, aside that, there is no difference between this two courses with respect to prospect and relevance.

BDS even have greater prospect than MBBS, because very few people are into it, and you can easily have your clinic immediately you are done.

You are regarded more of a surgeon than a physician unlike MBBS graduate.

I will choose BDS over MBBS, but the only reason I prefer MBBS is that it give flexibility to choose your specialty of interest, as we do develop new interest as we go deep into medicine.

I used to love Neurosurgery.

I used to love cardio-thoracic surgery.

I will even choose Obesteric and Gynecology over them now.

I never love paediatric, but I might later love it and venture into it. If there is any advantage MBBS have over BDS, this is the only thing.

"Will I ever become a Medical Doctor" should be more appropriate. There are several doctors you can become if you wish.

A medical doctor, yes you can become one.

There are many testimony of people who have had series of temporary defeats in their pursuit of becoming a medical doctor but they eventually become medical doctor in the long run.

While there are others who get in to university for MBBS immediately after their secondary school.

The key is if you want to become one, try to pay the price. Irrespective of the categories you belong to.

If you really want it, you will get it if you don't quit.

It's never too late to follow your dreams. One of my lecturers, a woman, had her Bsc and MSc in Physiology before going for her BDS.

The UTME is only 6 weeks plus away and I'm yet to cover the syllabus and it seems like I won't be able to finish the big textbooks ( especially modern biology and A-Z in English). Are there any "high yield" materials I can read for the utme , I mean materials that are straight to the point and concise . I would appreciate if someone can recommend some
Also is exam focus biology good enough ?

Sadly no but I'm still hoping. I can't do 18 hours a day though. I still have to finish 10 university courses to finish in a month , it's very depressing.

Jamb questions are trash I can bet my balls. For those of us that wrote UI post utme we can relate.
I know of people that got 300,293, 270 that couldn't meet up to 50% agreed mark. To those of you preparing for Jamb read hard for your English, It's a life saver. Why have you not questioned that from the inception of Jamb many people don't break the 80 mark in English.
Read hard for Jamb, read harder for post utme.
