The union chairman wants to form jagaban grin

Getting there police mess him up. DCP Adegoke Fayoade that head panti is a very good police officer, he will make sure justice is served, i have known him when he was at zone 2 command.

all the crimes committed by union members will fall on the chairman, all those deceitful requests is actually a crime.

If you have wake up and decide to protest peacefully no arrest will be done, but you created illegal task force, impounding people's car illegally, collecting illegal fee, harrassing people to join the protest. The count charge will be long, and there will be conviction
Nope, this was also a lie formed by greedy drivers and App coy staffs.
How can protesters collect fine or impound drivers car because they didn’t join strike ?
You guys are just trying to make the union look bad and frustrate the strike.

The only harassment was to request and send you to badore or let you go and turn at 2nd rainbow.

How do you guys know the hidden agenda ? They will force drivers to pay fine ?
How ? Uberbolt will give them all drivers data?
Just thinking aloud...

Just to OFF for 1 week... one Nigeria indeed

”Olawale told our correspondent that letters were written to the police to notify them of the protest.”

It's good to make one's grievances known to the app companies.

But this PEDPA, of a thing, if it eventually leads to levying of fees, buying stickers n all manner of stuff to extort money, then I'd say they are n
also not different from the e-hailing corporate shylocks.

Cos I'm seeing branded face cap, t-shirts n all, we should borrow a leaf from the Uber drivers union in California...... grin maybe I'm too optimistic, comparing us to the largest economy in the US.

Don't run the risk of buying used cars/Toks with costly hidden problems.

The real agenda! The PEDPA guys at panti police are on illegal duty using police as a cover. They are there in solidarity with their arrested overlord. If you are harassed by them, make noise, and record it. The police will arrest them and give them express visa to unite with their overload in the cell. angry

That part of the protest that wasn't planned for, you need an editorial team. They shd get members with links to the Hotspots of SM. Twitter n IG.

Nairaland will only carry trending news.... The strike is not hot enough.

For a protest to catch the much needed traction, it needs to be promoted on SM, this will require funds, which unfortunately is what most drivers lack. embarassed The average Joe on Uber is just getting by.

First thing is to Off App and then find out, but our people no gree OFF APP.

Sincerely, I feel there is or there could be an hidden agenda. when I saw the Tuesday protest to Alausa.
why Alausa ?
The govt might be hiding behind d protest to launch their taxi.
Or
It might be to the advantage of drivers if government knows that drivers are dying and still earning peanuts, they will not come up with all this nonsense license.

So I decided to go and peep at what’s really going on at national Staduim, let me hear the so called union. But the evil men in black already collected palliatives and frustrated the protest/strike.

I’m expecting the App coys to do some modifications rather than blocking drivers and giving palliatives men to stop the protest.

Didn't you see this part as a pure wickedness?
How will you feel if you are that driver that was sent on a fake trip to badore?
Why must everybody join the protest when there is no union?
Those fake pedpa of a thing are scammers.
I stopped driving on Uber/bolt apps for this reasons they are protesting for a while now.
During the #endsars protest, some were for the protest, while some were against it. Expecially the northerners. It's a normal thing.
We all look but sees differently

The hidden agenda they were trying to say is the dominance of the pedpa during the protest to make themselves known.
Why was Sowore chased away during the #endsars protest?
Because the protesters already knew his personal intention of trying to hijack the protest and turn it to his own movement against the government.
People are wiser than allowing some snitches to hide under their umbrella

On point. Peaceful protest is allowed. It was even confirmed by the policeman in the link posted above. But trying to constitute nuisance by illegally impounding innocent people's cars, faking trip requests, assaulting other drivers etc is totally wrong

Personally, I don’t think forcing people to join the strike is cool. Allow drivers that want to drive. Generally, driving business is not for weak minds, especially if u are driving in Lagos. If bolt/Uber policy isn’t favorable to you; leave. I stopped driving since last year and I’m doing very well for my self. Infact, I now make more money with little stress. U won’t be a driver forever. Drive and have an exit plan. There’re many other things that can fetch you money in Lagos. Driving the whole day might not make you discover these things.

Allow those that want to drive

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910:
On this strike thing, I support it, but I don't support any form of violence like forcing people or damaging property. In every sector or profession, there is some kind of Association to drive advocacy, representation and protection. Many times, group of drivers have to push uber/bolt before they pay compensation to a dead or maimed driver, without that 'gangup' so to say they can easily dump an individual driver. which is what we do here on this platform sort of - providing support to one another and joining forces to pursue fraudulent riders. So I don't see anything wrong in having an association, its not mandatory to join but offcourse u will not enjoy the benefits of being a member either. We cant kill the idea because we are scared it will be hijacked or misused in the future.

The strike has benefited many people that didn't join, heard drivers netted 20-25k on Monday and Tuesday. Bolt put up a simple campaign to lure drivers out, so people that have never completed bolt bonus before will chop it this week. So whichever way u look at it, the strike is good

Those for the motion say nay

Seems to me like that's what you were doing when you were requesting drivers cheesy

This is because if you request me and make me drive to PU and cancel, then BAZ001 requests me and makes me drive to PU and cancel, I can decide to go home out of frustration.

What you and BAZ just did was force me to go home against my wish. Might not have been violent but you still forced people.

Nooo...the aim is to inform the driver if he is not aware and to explain that it's for our own good. Whether he agrees with me or not is totally his choice not by force. Even my cars, I can't force my drivers, I gave them 2days off this week to rest or join strike which ever is their choice.
