Jamb questions are trash I can bet my balls. For those of us that wrote UI post utme we can relate.
I know of people that got 300,293, 270 that couldn't meet up to 50% agreed mark. To those of you preparing for Jamb read hard for your English, It's a life saver. Why have you not questioned that from the inception of Jamb nobody has broken the 80 mark in English.
Read hard for Jamb, read harder for post utme.

@the bolded, please don't mislead people.

I had 84 in English in 2018, if not for ui that made it useless. Last year, I saw quite a large number of people that had above 80. A boy, whose result went viral online, even had 90 something.

Please, don't lower people's morale. I come in peace.

Well I must admit that site that have been feeding me semi-truth deserve questioning. 90 in Jamb English is a great feat. People don't just bag it like Mathematics. Is it possible yes. Is it impossible NO. 90 in English? Wow. I respect hardworkers.

Omo I don’t know where you get these your facts oo. How can you comfortably assume that out of about 1.8m people writing jamb yearly that not even one of them has managed to score 80+/100 in English. Is English that hard? In 2018 when I was still a novice jambite sef, I got 71. Although my performance reduced in English but I have friends with 80+ in English. If you make your research rather than putting wrong and baseless info out here, I am sure you will see folks even higher scores.

Oga calm down. There are many sites available. I don't usually make wrong assumptions. This I did I took the bitter pill and succumb.Soon People will quote me out of context. Check the Original text, I have modified it. I don't just concoct stories Sir. I have been in this group for sometime. I have been involved in arguments have comfortably escaped. If you've checked my posts in Nairaland, you will see I don't live a life making assumptions. So hold your horses. It's left for you to decipher and make corrections and not doing "Jigi Jigi". I know the kind of people that deserve “constructive criticism”. You ain’t one of them.

Remember when you created a thread saying “Doctors and their fucking libidos”. What part of that post looked informed or well thought-out to you?
You see my point is, be careful what you put out there. You in particular don’t need correction on the things you post after you post them, you need correction on the kind of things you post on here before you even do and only you can make the correction for yourself. Good day sir.

In my own opinion, it's glaring that UNILORIN is infamous for prejudice and favouritism. She didn't disclose her screening method to the public which is obviously a huge red flag. There are numerous cases of 300,320 not getting admitted for MBBS while some candidates with lower scores have their names on the admission list. Most people know this. Anyway, if you want to pick the institution, have a very high UTME score and EXCELLENT O'level result.. In fact, your O'level grades play a bigger role in determining whether you will be considered for admission or not. Being a Northerner is a perk. Falling under the ELDS is another bonus. Most importantly, being an indigene gives you an additional benefit as well.

So just play your cards right and you'll be in.

Regardless of having to finish ten courses, I assume you understand the basics of the core subjects so 18 hours is not necessary since you aren't starting from scratch. Are you? Just keep updating yourself with the right information. Work on your weaknesses without neglecting the ones you know well - it might be illusion of competence.

I acknowledge your struggle boss... running a degree yet preparing for Jamb. Please, maintain quality health and mental well-being. May the grace of God find us!
Very good advice, especially the mental well being, avoid too much stress.

how do you read for 18 hours a day? Anything past 8 hours a day and my brains are fried and that must be the only thing I do for that day. Also can’t do it daily. No coffee or stimulants too

Someone asked earlier if they'll ever become a medical doctor. My friend you can be anything. There's no magic involved. I'm telling you this because I used to be in your shoes 10 years ago while doing predegre and then onto physiology. I remember when I started following this thread in 2013/2014 ( a whopping 8 years, wheew!).Then lagusta who formed the thread was a bit still active.( Thunde fire ASUU and covid sha grin)
Well to cut the long story short. I'm a doctor as I'm typing right now. But here's the deal, there's no other worldly feeling attached to it. You just know that life is a journey and that each stage is merely a platform for a higher achievement.
I'm not good when it comes to typing but I just want to say that many of you here will give this testimony in a few years to come.
More power to everyone here

congrats boss
