I hope you are seeking serious medical treatment. Stage 1 usually means it is treatable with good chance of survival however don't siddon look and hope it goes away. Get to an oncologist and have them give you treatment options post haste. Wish you good luck.

What causes it?

In the cycle of life hard times hit, but be of good cheer for we have overcome. Life, death none matters really. All that matters is that you gave your best when you could still breath.

Seek help from a competent colorectal specialist. Ensure a pan CT is done to r/o metastasis, and to confirm its truly a local disease. Surgical resection plus or minus adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy would be the goal. And prognosis is usually quite good.
