So if a newly promoted team battling relegation last season rejuvenates itself and gets into top 4 this season (3 seasons- division 2, relegation fight, top 4) , they won’t get as much pie next season as another team that finished in Europa league qual position for the same period.

This system favors the top top team too much and gives the other teams little power to compete with them or dream to.

Bayern is at the top of this pyramid; they always get top bar (cos their last 5 seasons they were winners of the league) and this puts them in a position to exploit other teams.

RB Leipzig has had tremendous success for the last couple of season. But watch how Bayern, cos they’re the richest by a million miles, poach their top defender, and in due time, their coach.
