OP, you should talk with him. Having him give you an actual, concrete plan could put your mind at ease about your future with him. What exactly is holding up his papers? What's the estimated time that could be completed? If he is being ambiguous about things, have a serious discussion about things being less ambiguous. Age is nothing but a number but there's no shame in letting someone you've been dating for four years know what you want (e.g. children, home, stability, whatever it is) and how you both, as a couple, are going to accomplish that or not. Good luck. |

AwesomeStormy00:1) They didn’t give a direct reason. Most likely I wasn’t convincing enough. 2)There are certain documents he needs to get before getting the authorization to travel back and forth. 3)Lol. (Most people find it hard to believe that there is no day that we don’t talk). With the 5-6 hours difference we usually start chatting in the early afternoon (I have my own office at work and workload is not usually heavy so I can easily chat) , we call each other during my break and also at night before going to bed. |

bigpicture001:Thanks for your input. Well, I’m not actually ‘wailing’; I just felt the need to express my thoughts and get some opinions and advice... And so far it has been quite helpful. The opinions and advice given by strangers is sometimes more sincere and straightforward than those given by family and friends. And concerning money... yes money is an important aspect in everyone’s life. Both men and women prefer to have a partner that is up and doing with an income. That’s why we both work hard to make our money respectively. In the beginning of our relationship neither of us had a stable income but we stayed together and things got better. Btw, I send him gifts too on his birthday the same way he sends me gifts on mine. |

Juliane:1) well sometimes that do happened sha but my advise is try apply again, this time use immigration lawyer let them help you to process your document. Yeah you may pay more but they know loophole they can use for you to get your visa. In any case if you visa office give you options to appeal any decision please go for it. Over 50% of people abroad got their visa through appeal. 2) certain document? Do you mean he doesn't have working permit on his visa? if you have working permit on your visa you can travel in and out of the country. In other word he your boyfriend might have over stayed his visa and he is trying to extend it through other means like assylum etc. ( please this is me typing based on my knowledge I'm not an expert ejoor) What you can do in this case is to apply for student visa, with student visa you are allow to bring people into the country it is known as dependant visa, so family member can come stay with you. Since your boyfriend is there already you get your visa travel down there sort out your registration then get married his status is going to change pleasw try speak to immigration lawyer to explain in details that aspect to you All the best, please do not give up. Good luck |

Hmmm, Please dont throwaway this relationship with someone that makes you happy that tick all your boxes, its good that you both are committed to the relationship that has futuristic plans. Also please dont come too strong on hi about the issue of marriage or settling down, you can tactically use wisdom to pull out information and know the state of his mind towards your relationship as per leading to marriage. He is dealing with so many things right now and still communicating with you, you on the other hand has to be prayerful and abit understanding to allow things flow naturally. Age is just a number but beyond been a number is the fact that you have to be with someone your heart truly loves and yearns for. Dont trash a treasure because of pressure. All things will work out well if you listen to him well your guts and your spirit will tell you by premonitions were he stands in truth in your relationship so far i give him A+ |
