Well Enugu is your senior. Akanu Ibiam just like Calabar and Portharcourt was built as an Aerodrome by the colonialists in the 60s and letter commissioned as a full fledge airport in 1979 by president shehu Shagari.

Fun fact: The capital of Anambra state as at 1979 was Enugu




Ibadan Airport was commissioned in 1982 by Joseph Wayas, then Senate President.

The funny thing is the Opon Imo was a novel achievement typical of Yorubas as pace-setters that you will one day catch-up to, which is typical of Igbos accursed to copy-catchup. You will then celebrate it as an achievement when others have moved on to better things for you to catch-up again.
