Anyone schooling in Luxembourg?

How is the standard of living?

How much can a student studying masters earn per week/month?

Are you coming to earn or to learn?
Earning is secondary and you should know that. A mindset like this may make you flop your visa interview.

And anyway, student jobs are upward of €8 am hour in Belgium and Netherlands. Neighboring Luxembourg could be in that range too. But jobs don't come easy sha ó.

Have you tried to use anyone from say the UK or the US? You don't have to necessarily be family with them. They just need to present your related documents at the Belgium embassy and state that they'll sponsor your education. I'll advise they state the year to be at least up to the end of your study so you don't have to redo it annually.

Thing is that, it's quite tough to get people to help you with such inside Belgium as many have 'taken charge' for other students or not earning enough to add a family member.

For your friends, they must be earning enough. As they will have to show payslip. So better to use someone who's single or with a small sized family with reasonable income.
Thank you so much for your reply.
The truth is that I have tried with the people I know that resides in those countries without success.
Perhaps, you know someone that can help me out?
Nevertheless,thank you so much.

Where did you get this information from Sir?? It is misleading. It is not correct.
DeeKeem:

Unfortunately the sponsorship form expires, even if the person has indicated that they will sponsor you for the entire duration of your studies. And the residence card you get in Belgium is just for a year, so whoever your sponsor is would have to process another form the next year.

It's not very likely that sponsorship letter 'expires'.
A couple of friends have been using the same letter from Feb 2017 till this session. And they study at KU Leuven. Meaning their Stad is Leuven.

Good day, everyone
I am new here. Please, is there any university that doesn't need IELTS for Masters in Belgium?

Because most schools I search about, teach in Dutch or require proof of English

Greetings,

Please I will like to ask if VFS global usually ask for additional supporting documents aside the ones listed on their website or the embassy during interview. Like letter of introduction from employer/academic institution(for students), hotel reservation or travel ticket reservation?

Thanks in advance.

My thinking is go with these documents. If you get there and they are not needed, you don't loss anything. We have stopped short of getting ticket reservation for a planned student application very soon. I am processing for a dependant.

VFS follows the checklist exactly. They will not ask for any other document that is not on the checklist. Just make sure your documents are legalized properly and everything is complete.
After the submission and your documents reach the embassy, they will reach out if they need any other thing.
But you won't be asked for things like ticket reservations etc.

We were in VSF Lagos yesterday for submission/capturing. Told them we had everything in the list and extra and the guy said submit everything!
So gave letter from current school in Nigeria (A levels) and hotel booking.

Did you submit originals or photocopies?

For Belgium:
1. Originals 1 set- all legalized documents/ legalization receipts and printouts, passport, 2 print out of visa application forms, admission letter, blocked account.
2. Photocopies- 2 set of every document above .
NB- you need 5 coloured photocopies of passport data page. 2 each for the 2 set of photocopied document above and 1 to be given back to you as document to show at point of collecting back your passport either from the UPS or the vsf centre. I had only 4, so used a black and white one for this purpose.
3. The only thing submitted as single copy is the medical report as you cannot open it.
4. No police report or foreign office payment required for us based on age.

For all that are applying for visa:
Please read the document attached and follow all the instructions.

It tells you the documents you need, what you need to legalize, the documents your sponsor needs to provide etc.

Please make sure you have this document and have read through it thoroughly.

Good luck!!
