Greetings All,
this platform has been so helpful.
I gained admission to the University of Lincoln with unconditional offer for Sept., I applied for a 50% scholarship which outcome should be out by 22nd June. I am thinking of paying the £2,000 to be issued CAS number, but i hope i won't be compelled to pay say 50% of the tuition fee pending the outcome of the scholarship.

Also, I am a bit confused when they say (School fees + maintenance money). must one have the total school fee amount in the bank and how much is the maintenance money?

Thank you

The bold shows you haven't understood the UK visa application requirements for visa. Either go to the first page and look at justwise post of the requirements or check google. It best to fully understand it now before making any payments or doing any next steps

Good morning all. Please, what reason can someone who has been denied US student visa write during uk visa application. US doesn't tell someone the main reason for visa refusal. @justwise @hosey @lagosismyhome and other gurus

Most rejection for US is under the umbrella of 214(b) .... Did not sufficiently demonstrate to the consular officer that you qualify for the nonimmigrant visa category.

If yours wasn't for fraud then it most likely this 214 rejection and you can just state this wordings

Mine wasn't for fraud so reason is probably generic

I'll look for someone who still has a copy

VISA ALERT!!!

God is truly a living God

I'm sure @justwise will remember my case and few other people, I applied sometimes in February with priority one day about 1k pounds, I was invited for an interview but they claimed they called but the call never got to me but I prompted them I didn't get a call on that which stands has an evidence for me but following day I was denied they said I didn't pick my call when they called! I was devastated I was so sad and worried but I kept my faith on, applied for administrative review via a lawyer in the uk which cost me about 300£ With all the evidence I could get from the network and police and Interpol self, 70 days plus nothing from them, but during the time I was in touch with school and taking classes and doing tests and assignments from school infact I was involved with student Union matter online to the extent I became a representative for student, school was willing to issue me a new CAS after the long wait I requested for a new cas and I was issued a week after, I applied again

Application submission: 27 April
Biometric: 29 April
No Decision email
Docs ready for pick: May 6
Picked up today with my Visa intact
Ikeja(priority)

After 3 uk visa denial I eventually got it

Hi, I got admission in the same school. I paid for the deposit and applied for the CAS. I also applied for the scholarship too, awaiting result in June. No, you won't be compelled to pay the 50% of the tuition fee. You can go ahead to pay the deposit to get your CAS.

Electronic copies are processed faster the second time you request it because it would have been signed and stamped (not always dated). So it's more like forwarding it to another institution. If it’s the first time, it will take 2-3 weeks.

I noticed that no one has mentioned Oxford Brookes university here. Hope there is nothing wrong with the School. I applied to the school and I was asked to send one academic reference as a condition for an offer.
Please anyone who knows about the school should enlighten me more, if I should go ahead with them or not.

Seems our case is peculiar. So its best I just apply for a new CAS instead of waiting for a decision from Administrative Review. Can i send you a mail please

If you couldn't book fir a date and it's getting late just go there and gate crashed (go and see a representative) or what is it called? Print your offer letter and evidence to prove its urgent.

You "MAY" be attended to.

Hello all,
Been following this thread for a while,
I have some questions to ask.

I plan on moving to the UK in September for my masters, shortly after my application began my wife got pregnant, initially I was planning to let her give birth here and then she could join me in December but she wants us to go together in July or August so that she can have her baby there in Sept. (ending of Sept).
My questions are the following;

1. If I want to add her as a dependant, considering that she’s pregnant and due in September would I need to put enough funds for her and the baby as proof of funds? Or for her alone.
2. Would it be okay to put the money for her proof of upkeep funds in her personal account and have mine in my own account? Asking this because I intend to use priority application for myself and standard for her.
3. For health insurance I want to also if the IHS fee I’ll pay for her will cover her delivery in the UK or if I would have to pay some delivery fees so that I can also work on setting aside the funds for that.

Looking forward to as much responses as possible.
Cheers

1. For her alone.
2. Yes.
3. It will.

You didn't ask this, but you have presumably sorted out your childcare in the UK (family/friends), or have you considered how time-consuming it will be looking after a newborn and what effect that could have on your studies especially considering the due date coincides with the start of your studies?
