You have proven that "his day" have different meaning in the holy Scriptures, very good.

And that is why you will never accept that as it is used in Job 1:4 it is for birthday grin grin. The reason your translation added own and went further to add set.

Yet it has different meaning. So when KJV and NIV states it meant day of birth we should abandoned it and follow NWT who added two words to their translation. You don't understand what is going on here. The moment you stated that it has different meaning still didn't send the right signal to you.

Your claim on Job1:4 is FALSE.

His day in Job 1:4 as used was the same his day used in Job 3:1 which mean day of birth.

I don't need to look for strange construct to prove a point grin grin

Ecclesiastes 7:1 A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.

1. A good name is better than fine perfume

2. and the day of death better than the day of birth.

day of death ..................day of birth (is it a bad day?)

Re: Is It Ok For A Christain To Celebrate His Or Her Birthday? by Janosky: 4:20pm On May 02, 2021
blueAgent:
One topic and subject that has divided Christains, is the issue of one celebrating his or her birthday,

As Christains are we supposed to celebrate our birthdays or is it wrong?
To answer this questions we will examine God's words and Bible examples inorder to better understand God's opinion concerning this topic.

*1 lie
The Bible is silent on the issue of one celebrating his or her birthday, infact there are only 2 instances or examples of birthdays been celebrated in the Bible one was by pharaoh(Genesis 40:20) and the other was by Herod(Matthew 14:6)

*2 lie
When the Bible is silent on an issue it is left for us to use our discretion in making decisions.
Secondly we also need to consider if that issue or subject offends or displeases God in anyway and does it rob God of his glory?.

*3 lie
A good argument for celebration of ones birthday is the case of the institution of Marriage.
While God himself instituted marriage there is no clear example in the Bible that marriages should be celebrated with feast
, but we all know that Jesus attended a marriage feast where he turned water into wine, thus we can conclude that marriage feasts are acceptable to God.

*4. Faulty analogy.
In the book of Gensis 21:8 Abraham the Man God called his friend threw a feast when Isaac his son was weaned although not a typical birthday but it was greatly celebrated by Abraham and his family.
In Job3:1-end Job was cursing and lamenting about his day of birth, this normally would have been a day of celebration
but Job was bitter becos of the difficulty he found himself but he still recognized the uniqueness of his day of birth and God's sustenance all through his life.

*5. Faulty generalization. grin grin
In plsams 90:12 the psalmist requested that God will teach them to number their days, inorder words to acknowledge their age or days on Earth.

There is nothing wrong in one appreciating God for adding one year to their life, if it is wrong than is it better we complain, murmur and curse God on our birthdays?

Celebrating birthdays with feast or not is left for an individual to decide, but weather with feast or not all should be done with humility.

Psalms 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Psalms 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

Psalms 97:12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Psalms 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

In Conclusion.
It is obvious that there is nothing inherently evil in one celebrating his or her birthday, rather it is an opportunity for one to express his gratitude to God for life given and to pray for more of God sustanance for years to come.
In my own personal view that day should be used to reach out to the less privileged and those who are in difficult situations like those in prisons this a way of expressing ones gratitude to God.

Like Paul says in Roman 14:6 anyone can regard any day unto God as special be it your birthday or not but what matters is that in all, all Glory should be given only to God.
Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Thank You.
LIES *1 to *3 above,
when you have Genesis 40:20, Matthew 14:6, Acts12:21-22, 2 Corinthians 6:14 ,Galatians 4:8-11, is your Bible silent on the issues of birthdays/Christmas celebrations?

*4 faulty analogy...
Was Job and Abraham celebrating birthdays?

* 5. Weak , faulty generalization & false attribution to the holy Scriptures.
In all those quotes, in which one did Jesus chose a special day to praise God for adding one year to his life span?
Abi no be Jesus Christ Achorladey & him crew member blueAgent dey follow?

I just love the way you're exposing your shameless lying mouth.

I decided to color the main part for you so that you can see your ignorance at work.

Greek Orthodox said "COULD BE" but went with the appropriate translation "and the WORD WAS GOD"

The same Orthodox Bible says "The word is NOT God IN THE SENSE THAT HE IS THE SAME PERSON MENTIONED in John 1:1a,he is NOT God the Father

I'll continue to teach you and your brothers basic English.

This shows that the native speaker shows NWT as false and wrong translation.

That could be has become e fit be sey in the realm of their religion and that e fit be sey has been causing so many confusion that they hardly note due to the level of education and comprehension of grammar. That is the problem the educated literate is facing now.

His same finger, heart and mouth will state in one minute something is not DUBIOUS, LIES, CONTRADICTORY and in the next minute that same thing is DUBIOUS LIES, CONTRADICTORY.

The same Jewish Bible that he wants to use as his salvation has become the the nails being used to pin him.

Achorladey proven his love of FALSEHOOD luminously.

The Greeks said:
"the second theos ( "was God"wink "could be divine."
Divine= a god.
The word was God could be the word was divine.
Why ?
The Greeks said : "in John 1:1a, the word is NOT God the Father."
grin grin grin grin

Bros, you & Emusan LIENUS are free to WAIL forever

John 1:1 Moffat Bible

The Logos existed in the very beginning, the Logos was with God, the Logos was divine.

The Sahidic Coptic text, 2006 Contemporary Translation:

Hn teHoueite neFSoop nCi pSaJe auw pSaJe neFSoop nnaHrm pnoute auw neunoute pe pSaJe
"In the beginning the Word existed. The Word existed in the presence of God, and the Word was a divine being "

The Sahidic Coptic John 1:1 is many centuries far far older than ALL your Trinitarian versions of John 1:1 put together.

The Mystery: Understanding Trinity! by Emusan(m): 11:43am On Aug 09, 2013.
Whenever we are refering to 'God' it's generally acceptable that we're refering to a Supreme Being

Then, who is God?
Jesus provided us the answer in:
John 4:24 "God is a Spirit...." that is this Supreme Being is a Spirit that can speak,
move and has life but doesn't have flesh or bones. Luke 24:39. The misconception comes when the Bible combine the two words together i.e 'Spirit of God' and this simply means 'The Spirit Itself but the highest one of all' or used only the word 'God' which also means 'A Spirit'. Some people thought 'God' is a being like human who has body and His spirit lives inside His body. No! He's just a Spirit.

Who is HOLYGHOST?
The HOLY infront of the Ghost or Spirit signifies the greatest attribute of this supreme Spirit of uncorruptible, purity, e.t.c. No doubt that HolyGhost is this Supreme one.

Can God speak?
Bible confirms that God can speak. If God can speak then it means WORD can come out
, we read in Heb 11:3 "Through faith we understand that the worlds(universe) were framed by the WORD of God,.." which also confirmed by Genesis in creation account...'And God said'.

The WORD that proceeded from God's mouth is the first thing in all creations apart from God Himself and it also God, that's why Moses wrote "In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth" Gen 1:1

Who is Jesus Christ?
In geneology of Jesus, we read an Angel visited a virgin(Mary) and told her, she will be visited by Holyspirit(God) Luke 1:35, then if God comes, He's coming to do what? Very simple is to come and speak because when a thing which has never happened is about to happen the WORD OF GOD will come out, especially when things that are seen not to be made from things that do appear Heb 11:3. The birth of Jesus Christ was so special because human reproduce by sperma but in case of Jesus, God speaks and thing we seen(Jesus) didn't make from thing we known(sperma)...John didn't make the mistake when he wrote "And the WORD was made flesh..." John 1:14. Now if God's word became a being Jesus Christ, did Jesus make a mistake to say 'I and my Father are one'? John10:30" No!
In Ephe 3:9 "...., who created all things by Jesus Christ" compare this with Heb 11:3 "..framed by the Word of God". Again can John also make the mistake to say "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3. No!
No wonder why John also decleared in 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word(Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Why Jesus is the Only begotten Son?
Simple answer is, He's the WORD of God(what come out from God's mouth). That's why Jesus said "...My Father is greater than all(including Him)..." why? because if God didn't speak, word will not come out.
