He didn't track the call. He got the call logs from an insider who works with the telecom company responsible for the calls at that period. The telecom company also have access to the voice conversation, however, the insider did not provide David Hundeyin with voice conversations as he/she was already contravening NCC rules. From the call logs and other freely available tools like Truecaller, Facebook and Google, David was able to burst the ring.

Call logs and voice conversations can only be provided when requested by the courts and security officials.

You then begin to wonder if a civilian can access call logs and use it to do this beautiful piece of investigate journalism, why have our Nigerian Police force not been using this to burst kidnappers and criminals.

But why the sudden rush to bury the victim, has a comprehensive autopsy been carried out, why is the police in a rush to close the case...next news you will hear is that the guy died in police custody, Jeffrey Eipstein style....any voiceor group asking for voice records of calls and conversations between the killer and people he had phone call contacts with pre and post the killing, will be silenced, the populace will forget so soon, life will continue...

I blame a booksmart 4.12 CGPA graduate for not being streetsmart enough to place high premium on her life...a random guy on Twitter lured you to very remote area in the guise of a job offer...be that as it may, one of the advantages of her demise remains the exposure of this evil network.
