That is why I will never advise a fresh graduate to come to Lagos in search of job when you don't have a decent place to stay with free food. You will end up wasting your years in Lagos with hand-to-mouth work.

Presently, Lagos is living on past glory. It only favours secondary school leavers, who are staying with their parents and can collect 15k job in Alaba International Market, Trade fair complex, Balogun Market, Ladipo Market , Computer Village as Sales girl/boy. The jobs are there for them. But for a graduate, look for something to do on your own, make contacts for Federal Government jobs and pray to God for divine intervention.

As for you OP. As far as you a graduate, it is wrong to think you have nothing to show. Some of your mates are still writing carry overs in school. You can still receive a call for a job that will surpass those that have been working for years. It is called grace.

1. What are d opportunities dat abound in d area where you stay?
2. What can you do comfortably?
3. Do you have a zeal/drive and are you really hardworking?

During my challenging time, I had to relocate to a fresh land( though thank God my roommate den in skul accomadated me. Then i started from there, started teaching in a skul for 13k salary, den from there i gathered experience and moved to a more paying skul (25k) I grew so much in d skul dat i started earning up to 40k. I got married, am now with kids but i knew teaching was not my last bus stop. Presently I have diversified and like i said earlier on am now relatively comfortable.
NB. All this things happened to me within the past 4yrs

Graduating in Nigeria is a complete waste of time and money in Nigeria expired school system since amalgamation.

I wish there's a place you can stay in Lag. There are so many teaching jobs you can start with then from there you can move on to your dream job.

There are even schools that will offer you accommodation. A nairalander got an offer like that and shared it here last week or so.

Search for the thread in education or jobs section. You may be lucky to find her post.

Also do not forget to keep praying to God to open a book of remembrance concerning you. Prayer works wonders.

If you stay in Lagos and don't mind we can work out a laundry partnership since you have the experience and I have a few machines lying here in my house, I can set up the place while you run it and we work out the sharing formula.

Be thankful for the gift of life first. Then, as someone suggested up there, look for a casual work for a start instead of a certificate job. I'm sure from there other opportunities will come up.

You're still good to go, start working to change your trajectories, by seeking VISION, and financial education.

Get a laptop, find a friend who can teach you the ways of the streets! At 30, you don't have much time left. Nigeria is hard and has no plans for the youths. Those saying you should start a business ask them for money and watch them insult you!

You need to tell us your state and possibly the local govt area, this will help those who know your environment to advise you properly.

You been a graduate is a step ahead. That's a tool unharnessed . It's just like you learnt a trade.
Only you and you alone can help yourself out. Network and take calculated risk. Try and ensure to be at the right place and at the right time.
