Based on the role he currently plays....na make shift DM the guy be. Originally, he was just a plain defender. Do you remember what happened when una coach Rohr tried to make Ajayi a DM....disaster no happen?

Ndidi can't get any better and this is because he doesn't have the skill set to do a complete DM's job. I don't have anything with the guy but I don't like players without finesse.

Expecting Ndidi to become better is like expecting Iwobi to suddenly become a midfield maestro. Not gonna happen.
Someone has been playing the DM position for about 5-6 years now and you're calling him a make shift DM

My brother o su mi o! Wilfred has been excelling in every metric used to judge a top DM for the last couple of years but mba he's not great.

He doesn't have great passing range this season the numbers are amongst the best for DMs in the EPL.

He plays for a small team that doesn't win titles this year he has won a trophy.

What else do you want from Ndidi?

The disrespect Ndidi is unbelievable...

I think people expect too much from Ndidi, while forgetting he was a natural defender who was converted to DM. He cant improve more than what you see now because he is at his max. The best he can do for you is to block and tackle and the occasional brilliance with assist and what have you. When I watch Ndidi I see a very improved Seyi Olofinjana, just combative and that's that. Dont expect Ndidi to replicate what Olise , Ojigwe etc. accomplished with SE. He is not a natural DM thats why he will not get many offers to move.

There was a time I thought Rohr was going to start Awaziem who is a natural DM converted to defender by these European coaches who never take their time to study African players and play them where they can excel best. Take Etebor for instance, the boy started off as a LW , SS but has been since misused and played in positions that underutilized his potentials. Ever since , Etebor has been wandering Europe hoping to establish himself in a system that doesn't respect his natural abilities.

I was hoping that either Zuby or Mikel Agu could get a look in but I guess as long as Rohr is still our coach we will continue to play Ajayi as a CB , Iwobi as an AM. I can't wait for his contract to expire.
Ojigwe ke? Ojigwe achieved nothing with SE.
All these players Zuby,Agu and the rest u keep mentioning have nothing on Ndidi.

Azubuike Okechukwu is a player you admire & believe so much in because of his style of play as central/defensive midfielder, personally i have watched him play & i share your view but his career over the years has really gone down and there is little to nothing to be impressed about in him ever since to be candid. Ndidi on the other hand, has improved so much that it is very wrong to mention Azubuike, judging by his current form & class. There is no point for comparism broda.

Pascal Karibe Ojigwe was a fantastic DM marshal , not a convert. He won U17 with Kanu and Oruma set, had a decent career with Monchenglabac and Leverkusen. He had the same fate with Oruma. The presence of Oliseh reduced his appearance with SE.

Another excellent DM was Christopher Justice who played 2002 world cup. These are natural DM not converts. I want natural DM who is not just about tackles and blocks.

I sensed people are missing the point I am trying to pass. At no point did I compare Ndidi and Zuby based on their current form , and I think its imperative we all understand that.

My criticism is based solely on what they are capable of doing and how that can influence our games. If Ndidi's blocks and tackles could not add any quality to our games then I don't care if Ndidi singlehandedly killed a lion at Leicester F.C. I hope we can understand this and make a better argument. I have never being satisfied with Ndidi on SE shirt.

FIFA considering holding the world cup every two(2) years. How do you all see this?

The passion from the players would be reduced. It will just be like champions league in which you know if you lose this year, you stand a chance the following year. Unlike world cup where a player knows that except you're exceptional, the max no of world cups you can play is 4. So they take it more seriously and play it with all their heart.

I hope they continue with the normal 4 years

The point I am trying to make is that Ndidi is not at the level and status Drogba was when he was with Chelsea. Not even close. You honestly believe Ndidi is a legend ? That's your opinion and I respect that but I strongly disagree.

Ndidi is only 3 years while Drogba stayed 8 years. Ndidi is already doing greatly in the 3 years he's been at Leicester and would consistently churn in great performance for Leicester if you'll allow him stay for another 5 years too without the talk of moving to a top team (as if Leicester is not a top team).

What do you mean by a "natural DM"? Ndidi breaks up play and protects the back 4. How is that not being a "natural DM"?
Ndidi does the basic job required of a DM at a VERY high level.

That's the normal argument we resort to. Passion will reduce, they should as well, make it every eight years to increase the passion even more.

I cannot give you answer

Your kurukere waka tire me

Being World class player determines on your performance

Vardy was a late bloomer ,put him on a Bayern Barca juventus team and watch him give you better than his good Leicester stats

You define world class players by their champions league performance which is totally wrong

The epl is not a small league and please don’t compare onuachu doings to vardy own

Vardy is playing for Leicester City and not a big club

Vardy has done better than players who had play for Man U Chelsea Liverpool and co

Oga we are talking about vardy here and not Neymar

You want vardy to always be playing in the champions league with Leicester city says it all ,you have exposed your knowledge

Hazard have not been impressive in the uefa champions league all through his career so maybe he is not world class if so

Did Hazard perform at the world cup?

A natural midfielder should and must have some creativity to their game to be complete. Tackles and blocks are not the only features of a DM, those are the requirements of a CB.

Of course, I know some persons will bring up moments where Ndidi assited or played a nice pass but it's not a commonplace with him. I agree he has improved but I am not impressed, particularly with SE.
