It is easy to get a job in Canada if ur girlfriend will just approach an immegration firm that employ the services of an immegration consultant with good standing in Canada,..eg AJ immegration in Alberta, and some other she should check them out although there services are not cheap.
Nor let immigration Agents/Consultants/Firms use you shine. There are guidelines for issuing open or closed work permits. It’s difficult for people outside Canada to meet the requirements for work permits ( eg ur employer has to proof that no Canadian or pr is available to do the work) and most employers don’t want to go thru the immigration stress. It’s illegal for u to pay for a job; ur employer is supposed to get a positive lmia & then apply for work permit for you. Some immigration firms do arrange with some employers to game the system. The fact that it worked for someone you know doesn’t mean it’s gonna work for everyone

Yes , since she is the one going to study in Canada. Apply for your kids also but you can apply for visitors visa initially, once your wife study permit is approved , you guys can all travel together and you can now apply for SOWP after that. So it's possible

Hello House,

Please what can I use as travel itinerary for my husband asides flight ticket for visitor's visa?

We are required to attach a travel itinerary and we do not want to attach flight ticket due to uncertainty about the visa approval timeliness.
Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by Leoadexy: 6:12pm On May 26, 2021
Yes that is correct and i think in my opinion better since you want to travel together. But it is important how you package your applications especially your letters , it is important for you to show ties here in Nigeria, your job, proof of funds etc , that you just want to support your family to settle down. You have to convince them you are returning to Nigeria

Hello,

The rule of thumb for your type of situation is patience and strategy. Patience, taking the best action that will favour the whole family in the long run. There is no rush in this Canada journey. Strategy, by planning months and possibly a year or more ahead.

Personally, what I did is to apply for study visa alone and use family (wife and 3 kids) as strong home ties in addition to other normal ties. Then when I arrived Canada and completed one semester, I submitted application for family 11-days ago. My wife SOWP, my older kids (12yrs and 7yrs) study visa and my youngest child (less than 2 years) a visitor visa. I did upfront medical and submitted application on 15th May 2021. The medicals were updated to passed on 19th May 2021 for all - my youngest child didn't require medical exams due to age and visa type. My spouse completed biometric yesterday and the waiting game continues. I hope to also continue learning on here from people who have had similar experiences.

There are no guarantees but with a good strategy you have a better chance. There are students (even in Nigeria) who applied with their family and got approved but the chances are low. You can ask on the study permit thread for direct experiences.

You are right bro, I am on the same route too. My wife applied for her study permit and added our less than a year son's visitor's visa in her application. On getting there, she sent me there permits which I used to apply for my spousal work permit. Submitted application April 29th and was asked to go for biometrics same day too. Biometrics don on 5th May and was updated same day. Did upfront medicals same time my wife did hers and I passed medicals on May 19th. The waiting continues. I think it's safer to do it this way especially during this covid-19 period as they are trying to unite families. Thanks.

I received this reply for my wife's SOWP:

Based on our assessment of your recent enquiry, we cannot process your request as you have not provided sufficient evidence that you meet an exemption criterion and/or that your travel to Canada is non-discretionary, per the travel restrictions implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID‑19) in Canada.
Even though you do not meet an exemption criterion and/or your travel has not been deemed non-discretionary, your application will now be put on hold until after the travel restriction pause has been lifted.
Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada.

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada MC24468

does it mean that people are not receiving this exemption and has anybody here been given the exemption to travel?

For someone who recently got married and the wife is a Canadian citizen, how long can she wait to start spousal application for the husband? Can she start the application the following month ?
Secondly, Is registry wedding pictures and wedding certificate enough even if we didn't do any church or big party wedding ?

Thanks as I await professional responses

I received this also for my SOWP and my son’s visitors visa. I don’t understand why cause i feel we qualified for exemption.
Can anyone please shed light on what to do next.
Thanks.

You can proceed with the spousal application anytime you are ready. I'll advise you provide sufficient proof of marriage including group (family+couple) picture(s) taken on the wedding day ,proof of communication before and after wedding.

These are just few of the extra documents IRCC usually request for when there is need to solidify the proof of marriage.

Apply in Canada because you presently don't have enough documents to apply for SOWP

apply for your infant now .. but you have to be financially ready for that .

Goodday people,

I came across one travel agency recently and they promised to give me 2-5yrs Canada tourist visa, which allows me to work. Documentation fee 700k and visa processing 72k.

Please i would like to know how feasible this is.

Thank you.

419....u can't work with tourist visa in Canada if you are from Nigeria
And anyone that assures you of Canada visa is a fraudster...it's impossible to garantie anyone' visa ...is about you meeting the eligibility requirements and proper documentation.

Go to IRCC website and educate urself about different kind of visa and there requirements

Work on meeting the requirement...and u can apply for any kind of visa urself
