Mehn Tatum on fire but for the Celtics to beat the Nets, that means he has to play like this throughout the series...Can he keep up the smoke?? We'll watch and see.... smiley
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:25am On May 29, 2021
I haven't seen that much iso ball in one quarter than I saw in the Nets/Celtics game. Good game though. But the Nets gotta be concerned. Maybe not about the Celtics but in the coming rounds. If you can't win a game when your three stars combined for almost 100 points then that's a worry. The role players contributed almost nothing because it was all iso ball.

Onto game 4. Should be fun.

Finally! Kawhi guarding Doncic. I understand guarding Doncic one on one. As in let him get his 40, but ice everyone else. But the best defender should still guard Doncic. Batum is getting lost on defense. I hope Lue keeps Kawhi on Doncic the rest of the series. Get it together coach!

A tree can't make a forest. Dallas role players didn't come to this game. Has the emotions of the playoffs gotten to them? Or is this law of averages coming into play and evening the prior lights out shooting?

Like it's annoying, with how luka played if he had stepped up it wouldda been a wrap. Dude is supposes to be a bully like giannis. Rumours were out recently that Mark cuban wants ti trade him as hes not stepping up at all and always injured. With his size , length, wingspan etc he should be doing better honestly.

Kendrick Perkins got one thing correctly. With Kyrie, it's always extra. Kyrie tries to come across as enlightened and smart, but for the most part on matters outside basketball, he sounds out of his depth. For some being a talented basketball player translates to enlightenement.
Roland17:
Before I forget, I thought J. Brown had the best response to Kyrie’s talk about Racism in Boston.. Racism is an American problem not exclusive to Boston, it had to be attacked that way.

Jaylen Brown is perhaps one of the most intellectual basketball/ sports individual I have seen in a very long time. I am talking about people who have immense gift of critical thinking when speaking about numerous issues.. not just issues bordered on social justice but different spheres of life. He is quite composed and calm when he is making his case which is uniquely different.. He reads a lot of books like me and it doesn’t shock me when he makes different analogies in relation to the topic discuss.
The man has a great future ahead of him after basketball for sure. When it comes to enlightenment, I try to be careful because it is subjective to principles and values identified to the specific individual. In most cases, I just listen and that is what I do when Kyrie speaks. He comes off bullish but it’s coming from a different place me and you may never understand I guess.. if that makes sense.
His take on Kyrie’s comment was exceptional and perfect. Good thing the Celtics fans backed him up by not doing anything silly last night..it would have given credence to the narrative.

Yea.. Big time because he was having an exceptional season before the injury, played well through the injury before he was shut down.
His absence has been immense for us because it affects the matchup on the court and that is why we are constantly switching on defense. A perfect scenario would have been to play each of the big 3 one on one on defense and stop with the switches and doubling which has constantly opened up Harris. Furthermore, he would have been a matchup nightmare on offense because of his size and what he can do with the ball.

Wonder why he was drafted so low. He played very good that year when his team won the NCAA.
He actually went undrafted. I think it is the size thing just like fred van vleet.

Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 8:56pm On May 29, 2021
Hats of to the bucks! After last years embarrassing loss, the bucks pick up solid role players, but no superstars. And they eviscerated a Heat that are much better than last year. A good lesson for up and coming nba teams.

And much respect to giannis for going into the offseason with the mindset to come back better. Becoming a man before our very eyes

Yes bro. I need it to sweep, sorry vacuum clean the house. Lol

Seriously speaking, what happened to Miami Heat? A post mortem examination is required for this kind of 'death'. Didn't see this sweep coming at all.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:19pm On May 29, 2021
Bring on the Nets. That's a matchup made in heaven.

Looks like the Bucks are gonna have at least 5 days before they play game 1 of the semis. Vital rest if you ask me. Crucial for the healing of those niggles and bumps.

Re: The NBA Begins by Android17: 3:45am On May 30, 2021
They should just end the series on game 3 so that the Wizards players can go to Cancun or something. Only competitive series are allowed to continue.

I see. Thanks. Is Kemba taller than these players? Kemba looks all of 5'11 to me just like Fred Van Vleet.
