So if my maintenance fee + tuition balance = £21k. and according to £=N today on Oanda I would be needing N12,196,500 and decided to keep
N14,403,400 then I would be refused for having surplus!!!! I doubt that sir!!!

justwise:

No it will give them false hope and a refusal. £=naira is the formula, You will have more money in your account by doing it the wrong way and it will likely lead to a refusal.

Elders in the house come out Ooooo this one pass me. I would have said in my opinion that you use more popular and long standing commercial banks...we should not be advertising for any bank here. Also read the attached extracted from: https://www.westminster.ac.uk/international/visas-and-advice/visas/student-visa/financial-requirements-and-the-28-day-rule

Hello Justwise, please an you throw more light on this. My cousin plans on using her account for herself. The amount of cash in her account surpasses what is required. Are you saying she should transfer some money out of her account? The money in her account has been built overtime not like a huge deposit is coming in one day.

I made my comment based on what Prisscindy said that he tampered with the statement. What outburst? J ustwise I don't have the energy for your unnecessary argument. Okoronlafarms AR took 4months ,so I can't say how long it will take cos I am not VO neither do I work in UKVI. It isn't up to 5months justwise, redo ur calculation Jan 25- May 29. Shalom

No that was not what i meant.

What i meant was that if you do it the wrong way it will give you the impression that you have enough while in reality you don't.

So simply put £ first enter your school fees + maintenance money and you will get the naira value.

Nothing wrong with having more than required amount.

Okay Prof. break it down. I only wanted you to speak to the refusal letter and see how VO used the Oanda Converter. is my analysis wrong? is it wrong to have more in the naira in the bank account? just demystify it...I am learning!!!

Since u don't have an understanding prob. grin grin

Like Justwise said, you know the amount you have in pound but not the naira equivalent,so pound up and naira down

That's the point £ = N makes you feel you have enough. while N = £ requires that u keep more N in your bank account

It's amazing u are not getting me...I actually want you to calm down I see or experiment using the platform to get what I am saying!!!

N12,000,000 = £20,317.1 (today)
but £20,317.1 = N11,799,900 (reversing the naraative)

U will notice that you will need more Naira to get the same Pounds if you place the Naira (up) in order to get £20,317.1

Try it sir

The tactics is to change the last two digits of your passport number just for booking sake....when you get there give them the correct passport number. It is doing that probably because the passport is on the system or the email has being used before.... may be you av tried d booking several times... So use a new email and change the last two digits of your passport number. This happened to me.. So I'm talking from experience.. All the best

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by scobyy2007: 1:42pm On May 30, 2021
@justwise I think the main moral of the back and forth is that have enough money for £=N or N=£ (add little excess to cater for rate fluctuations) for the stipulated 28 calendar days period.

No one should try to game the UKVI system.....it paints the country in a bad light!!!

If the rate shows you N12million try to mark it up to N12.5million or say N13million or more to be in the safer zone.

Thanx @justwise my padi since 2010!!!!

Hello @justwise I think this is the 25th Jan post that @Ezriela was talking about

Hi house, pls I’m confused.

Assuming the pof needed is 14M and one has excess of 14.3M in the account. Does any withdrawal as little as 1k affects anything since it’s going to appear on the closing balance although the total closing balance covers yours Pof. Because I don’t understand the issue of someone being refused because of N100 or 4naira discrepancies. Pls someone elaborate.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by donmanuel1: 2:08pm On May 30, 2021
What I understand about UkVI oanda conversion is if they want to calculate your POF they put the pound up (since it is known from your tuition and maintenance) to get the naira equivalent AND to communicate the refusal to you the Naira would be up(since it is known in your statement) to get the pound equivalent of your money. I MIGHT BE WRONG THOUGH.

Not at all, you can even withdraw more so far is not lesser than POF required. That was just an error Kem, medical error happens too that doesn't stop people from going to hospital. May we not be victims of costly error.

I have a bit of a problem that needs clarification.

So I made the last lodgement of my POF on the 8th of April to Zenith bank it however reflected on the 9th .

When printing my bank statement I printed from the 8th of April to the 6th of May.

Please note that no transaction reflected on the 8th of May the transaction I did on the 8th reflected on the 9th.

This is the bank statement I sent to school to issue my CAS.

I have already made my application.

Whilst discussing with a friend who is already in the UK sometime last week she told me the bank statement I submitted is 27days and not 28th day please guys from the above illustration given is this so?

I have had sleepless nights since then.

Because I sent same bank statement to school and they didn’t see any issues with it and issued me CAS.

@Justwise and everyone other guru please help look at this and let me know if what my friend said is true.

My heart is paining me because I tried to do even right to the best of my ability I even paid full tuition

Leeds is cool. Leeds Beckett has 3 campuses, it depends on your course of study. In terms of jobs it also depends on your physical strength and mind you, you have 20 hours weekly. Brother, get your NI and do Royal mail ( mail sorting) you can add Bluearrow cleaning jobs too. During holidays you can work unlimited and make your money.

Thanks bro

8th-6th is 28days but you don't count from when the money completes according to the gurus so it shd be 9th- 7th. This is minute, you need to put your mind at rest. Worry will do you no good at this time ,you can only pray for grace and mercy. Come back to testify
