Hello house,

Please has anyone used paga to pay visa fee recently? It’s asking for card details and the amount is still in usd.

I emailed Paga and they said they’re having issues now (am guessing it’s becuz of the new dollar rates and policies) I bought usd from aboki, funded my usd account and paid .

Ok, this is the major reason why am asking.

If you have, say "Yes" if not then say "No".

Immediate family members though.

I submitted my visit visa application April 13, biometric done April 21 and up till now I have not heard anything from them. I tracked the app using TLScontact app and it still show app transferred to DMC. My trip is supposed to be btw June 7 - 21! Is there anything I can do to make them work on my application?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by megastu(m): 8:17pm On Jun 01, 2021
It might.

My first U.K visa for studies was denied. I had stated I didn't have any relation in the U.K because I was advised (I was pretty young then) that if I wrote I have a relation they will say I won't come back, whereas that would have even facilitated the visa. I eventually went to school in the Netherlands and I then applied for a visit visa to spend Christmas with my aunty. Of course, I was denied.

I had to appeal in court and my aunty told the Judge she didn't know why on earth I stated I didn't have a relation in the U.K when she is my mum's elder sister (the same father and same mother). Since then I have been having U.K visas.

You can apply and come upfront with the information, knowing that you already provided that at the POE.

I honestly don't see how you could have been denied a visa based on the details you shared here but again that's your experience and I have no right to question that.

There are so many reasons why an individual would answer NO to having a relation in the UK and answer YES on a later date. Based on that information alone it doesn't provide enough ground to deny an applicant's visa.

Based on personal experience OP doesn't have to answer YES if it isn't an immediate family member but again that's my own personal opinion.

My own case is different, I have gotten the visa, declared at the port of entry, visited and exit the uk.

This case is a case of reapplication. Thats the major reason why I want to declare it so it won't look like I did it intentionally. tho we've lost contact for more than 10years. My last visa was what brought us back together.

Even at the POE she was called and our statement didn't contradict, so they had to let me go after apologising for the delay.

in my opinion it was not necessary. All this hassle for a distant relation.
U already told them in the application u had no relation or friend in the uk and were going to stay in a hotel.
This was ur first application right?
U submitted evidence of this, hotel and all and on those grounds u were issued the visa having satisfied the visa officer especially on grounds of finances.
Time of travel, u got to port of entry and changed to u were going to stay with ur distant relation- aunt now.
That u just reconnected after 10 years.
they kept quiet and let u come in.
Yes u have not done wrong, but holistically this may or may not marr your next chances.. i believe in 1st impression matters. It was ur 1st visa which u began complicating for no just cause. U could have come into the country and gone to ur hotel and visited ur distant relation later.
Did u decide to go reside with her to save costs?? If yes this is a different picture of your circumstances which you had presented initially.
If it was your 2nd visa or 2nd visit yeh i wont be bothered, but not first visa and first visit- it begs the question of what truly were your intentions.

In my humble opinion, my opinion ooh.. I am not a guru, but this is a 50-50 thing for you and can swing in any direction.

I am also of the opinion that deep down u are bothered by these two conflicting stories that is why you have continued to drag on the question in 20 different ways—- again could it be that u also think same way?

If not, several ppl have told u what to fill in, you keep coming from diff angles as if to reiterate that you might have done wrong.
Once again, these views are only mine and not of a visa officer and I might be goddamn wrong.

Wish u the best.

Going to the hotel wouldn't have been a good choice for me because unkown to me london entered tier 5 lockdown that same day.
Some people who used hotel were deported because hotel had to shutdown that day. So I was just lucky in my own case.
Like you said its a 50:50 thing but all the same thanks so much.

Get a dorm card dollar or get someone in ‘the abroad’ to pay for you or downlod flutterwave by barter and use their virtual dollar card.
Nigerian mastercard has max limit of 100usd payment.

Right. They just after the total you intend to spend on the trip not necessarily a breakdown, who is paying for the trip, whether anyone is sponsoring you and proof that you actually have these funds in a functional account.
Be realistic and truthful on your application and this usually leads to an approval.

Please I need your answer, can someone quarantine in a friend's place or is a must you quarantine in a hotel?. Again priority visa is how much?.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Jbaby09: 7:59am On Jun 02, 2021
I believe you can quarantine anywhere you put that you’ll be staying.

So far if they come visiting you’ll be there

Priority : 220£ (5 working days)
Super Priority : £900 or so( can’t remember the exact amount) 1 working day

Every standard visit visa application is 50-50 but I don’t think your experience at the port of entry would significantly affect your future visa applications just make sure now they know you have a family member in the uk, for them to allow you into the Uk and didn’t hold on to your passport that you will get it when you are exiting the country shows they are satisfied with whatever explanation you gave them and you have done the right thing by not overstaying which would make them see you as a genuine visitor.
I have been stopped at the Heathrow airport before and delayed for over 8 hours, my fingerprints were taken and I was interviewed by 2 different Immigration officers but at last they apologised and I was allowed in the following year I applied and I was granted.
What I did was close to yours, I made contradictory statement about me coming to the UK to perform at the notthinhill carnival and they said if was performing I needed a different category of visa not a visit visa but I explained to them that it wasn’t a paid performance I just want to be with few Nigerians and entertain them.
The immigration officer asked me a very tricky question that what if I was offered money for the performance just to cover my ticket fee what will I do, I told him I want accept it because if I did that it means I have worked in the UK and my visa does not permit me to do that.
