Let those assessing Twitter be careful. The government can enforce a total ban on the internet in Nigeria for national security. And there is nothing anyone would do about it. Having a right to internet or Twitter is not a constitutional right and is not a right that cannot be suspended in an emergency. Please I have my misgivings about this administration, but I think Twitter went too far. I listened to President Buhari's speech and read the tweet, I think the issue was overflogged. And the Twitter ban is now being overflogged. Here is the tweet: "Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand" Let us look at that statement without blinkers. What exactly made Twitter delete it? Twitter wants to regulate governments, do you even know the implications of that? Who regulates Twitter? I am not in support of this evil regime, but I support the ban. Someone told me that YouTube suspended TB Joshua because he healed a gay guy of his gayness and said he despised the act and not the man. Do you want to force me to accept what you accept? Is that not cultural misappropriation and a besmirching of my rights as a human being? I pray other governments take the bull by the horns and regulate social media. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

This would eventually prove that the fear of NIN and BVN is hyped. Why? Because we have an incompetent government with incompetent government agencies. They would implement this with the same lackadaisical attitude they use in governing and securing the nation. I don't use Twitter but from 7pm (after my break at work). I would start pumping out contents. 2 Likes |

Coldshisha:Nigeria's 2021 budget is $35 Billion. Jack dosey alone is worth over $10 Billion. Do you think he gives two fúcks about money he's getting from Nigeria? Jay z and other billionaires are partnering with him. If buhari can't handle twitter, HE SHOULD GET THE FÚCK OUT. Check the definition of "Chagrin", that's what Buhari is going through right now. If you like dey mumu yourself, me I dey UK like this. I fit enter Germany or USA anytime wey I like. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

The greatest regret is on Nigeria. How will we prove our IT competence to the world when our leaders don't understand what it is in the first place. Also, where will he run to for borrowing when crude oil price falls again which is inevitable. Setting aside ego to understand the mechanistic of something and making informed decision is wisdom. MrJames007: You guys don't really understand do you? Do you know what implication this serve? If this government can ban a means directed at the freedom of expression, this only shows that they have no regard for our rights to freedom. Hence we are skidding from a democratic government to a military rule. Do you guys even know? 1 Like |

dagoldenboi001: You can pass your point without insults. It is because of people like you that I support the ban. Many of you don't know how to use social media. See, I have been in a country where Syrian refugees were passing. I see families begging daily just to eat. It is a pitiable sight. You people need to be tamed before you set your country on fire. If Nigeria starts a war, which country has the capacity to absorb us? Try dey get sense. 3 Likes |

The fact is that buhari is a vindictive bastard, he does not have the quality of a good leader, his hate for Igbos stemmed from the fact that they did not support him during elections and he labelled them 5%. Does Biden say because over 70 millions people voted for Trump he will not listen to their cry? Buhari still takes his fight to Twitter and causes international disgrace for himself because Twitter took down his post which obviously violated their rules, he wants to show them that he also has some points to prove. This is to tell Nigerians the kind of people leading them today, they can hastily take rash decisions that are not well thought out without considering the significant damages it will cause to the people only for them to realize their folly later. They want to ban Twitter because of their hate for the youth and the vindictive nature of Buhari but forgot that Nigerians have several ways to access the platform and circumvent the ban. Nigerians, the next two years will be a long ride for you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

emkz: Tamed like we are packs of wild animals without a sense of reason? Are you been serious? Do people like Moshood Abiola fight for democracy only for your president to twist it in his favor? Twist it to blend into a dictatorship rule. Stop threatening us with war and famine. Even without war people are already starving in this country due to bad governance. They can ban the whole social media as the Tyrants they are but we will not stop criticizing the government until they ban the air itself. If they can. Mtccheeew. 2 Likes 1 Share |
