Did he consider the negative effects of legalizing this? You could imagine the bad side of the wrong use of this drug even when it is illegal. Imagine when it becomes legalized and people could get access to it in Nigeria where 'control and regulation' only exists in ink
Could you state the negative effects pls.

I don't see people going out in mass to get high, just because it's legal.
The same way not everyone drinks even though alcohol is freely available, or at least most choose to drink responsibly.

Technically one joint of weed can fetch a smoker 25 years, or one-quarter century of imprisonment. This is in practical terms a death sentence in Nigeria's jails, and indeed one joint has led to the death of many people left to rot in jail.

Governor Akeredolu SAN is set to end that madness, and elevate cannabis to the multi-billion dollar industry it is in other enlightened nations like Ghana and South Africa.

I fully support his motion

This man's evangelism on cannabis cultivation & legalization in Naija has been with passion. Akeredolu has been a loud voice on this issue. If he is made minister of agriculture anyday in Naija, as his first 100days achievement he will display cannabis plantations in all states including desert areas.
The man's love for cannabis is wonderful

So do I my brethren. So do I. As we speak, Nigerians are dying in jail over one joint of weed, and that terrible injustice clearly touched Akeredolu's heart, as a legal practitioner and SAN.

If for any reason, try microdosing on Cannabis tea with a pint of coffee then you will understand why a certain God is called 'Most High'.

Isis and Osiris brought this planet Earth for the benefit of man.

But we got to be careful, Monsanto and US military has weaponized Cannabis, some people smoke the engineered weed and all of a sudden they become gay or lesbians, it's all in the drug.

Consume only the very local strain and you will thank Osiris and Isis.

"Weaponizing" weed is unlikely, BUT right now in Nigeria, some terrible deadly poisonous chemicals are being added to weed by the criminal gangs that grow and sell it. Names like "Colorado" and "Arizona" simply mean that the weed has been POISONED with chemicals like PCP and methamphetamine, which can indeed cause madness or even death. Deadly chemicals like herbicides and fungicides are also added to plants by unscrupulous growers in the USA, which also amounts to poisoning the product.

Once cannabis cultivation is legalized, users can grow their own at home. Properly cultivated, and nourished by burying a fresh ocean fish under the newly planted cannabis plant, one single plant can supply a user for an entire year, and since the user is also the grower, the worry about added poisons can be removed FOREVER from weed consumers' minds.

I planted Cannabis in flower pot it grew beautifully but died. I will try planting a little Cannabis Garden and master it's cultivation. Looks like the industry will evolve soon.

Why are Nigerians crucifying canabis? There is more abuse without legalization and high economic and psychological problems.

Abundant sunlight is absolutely critical for a healthy plant to reach its potential. Any plants in the shade will be tiny, weak, and likely to die off.

Hydroponics is a good option for city dwellers. Check out a couple of forums that are dedicated to the science of hydroponics.

This question is no more important than it would be to enquire whether the SAN governor drinks a glass of wine now and then.

In short, the reply to your question is that it doesn't matter in the slightest to enlightened people.
