Good evening my good people.
I have already been granted my study permit, however I am yet to leave for Canada. Whiles here I want to apply for my 6 year old son to join me. On this thread, I have seen people applying for either a study permit or visit visa for their kids.
If I choose to apply for the study permit, on the IMM1294e form(study permit form),
1. do I have to enter the details of my school on the form(since he has to get to Canada first before he is enrolled in school) ?
2. Do I enter the tuition cost etc of my study or I should just indicate that is not applicable.

So sorry about this.
Repackage your application and certainly try again but as the gurus have stated, order your GCMS notes first

I believe you've a good case since "Personal Assets and financial status" was only highlighted as the reason for refusal. Share a detailed overview of your profile, who was your sponsor, your educational background and course of study in Canada. There is solution to every immigration issues irrespective of its complexity. Please provide these information, myself or my fellow NL experienced member would take it up from there.

It will end in praise.

It's hard to meetup with the deadline using FORM A. This information should have been included in the offer letter. Except you have a well funded domiciliary account with card, your only choice might be the virtual card of the barter app. The exchange rate is on the high side.

NABTEB as the highest level of education is unachievable for Master's and Bachelor's program in Canada.

Thanks for the response. It's not the highest level of education/certification. I have an HND. However, many Canadian schools seem not to accept NABTEB for secondary level certification.

You're actually the one I was referring to in my post. The approval rate of Nigerian applicant as at 2019 was 44%. If there was another data showing the approval rate of those applying for a program below a degree they already hold, I'm very certain it would be way below 10%. You just happen to be among those 10%.

Sincerely I haven’t seen any Nigerian who applied for a post secondary diploma. I didn’t knew the program was a post secondary diploma until I got admission letter

Good day @darey360

If you can register for a dormicilary account then go ahead and fund it then pay with your card note that you won't be able to meet the deadline through this route...

Yes your sister can help you make the payment and about the exchange rate no one can really tell you that because it would be converted from pounds to cad and if she is using flywire (cause that's what most colleges in canada uses in receiving school fees payment) she would be charged in pounds and payment received in cad.

Hope this helps.

Timeframe for FORM A is within 3 days to a month. It's just not reliable method when one is trying to meet a short deadline. Reach out to your sister. She should even be able to use her card.

I trekked there also when I went for my medicals. I'm glad I was able to help.
Rooting out for you mama.

Hello everyone. So I’m the guy that applied from
China but couldn’t pay for the visa application fee because I don’t have a Nigerian card with me, I had to give money to an agent in Nigeria to pay for the visa application fee. Then later I got an email saying there was a charge back on the fee and the agent quickly gave me another receipt and said sorry without explaining what happened. Then 3 weeks later I got a Refusal email with 5 year ban. I was worried and I requested for my notes. And it turned out that this same person canceled the payment again. Hence the denial and ban.

Please my brothers and sisters.
How do I lift off this ban?
Below is my notes !!

Please help

Arh!!!
This is why I don't like agent!!! I'm really sorry.

Nothing is impossible. A very good lawyer and supporting documentation is needed.

We need to gather beat that agent.

The way out is expensive.

You will have to get an immigration lawyer to defend you.

I am very very sorry about this.

I've got serious trust issues, and it has huge disadvantages, but I've learnt to live that way.

I do most, if not all, things myself.

There are so many people like that in Nigeria. (I can't say the same for other countries because I haven't traveled out before.)

But the wicked things I see happen around everyday have completely transformed the way I think. I suffer the consequences of self-reliance, but I achieve much more by it.

What manner of wickedness is this? Just imagine the kind of mess the greedy and ignorant agent has put you into. I really don't know how you're gonna come out of this. Pursuing this will require hiring an immigration lawyer that knows his onion and will have more financial consequences.

So sorry about this development.

Hi Everyone,

My application was also refused based on personal assets and financial status. Tbh, my application was quite shoddy (Submitted very basic documents). It was months after applying I got to know of Nairaland and sincerely I commend everyone's effort for the input ( The info put out here is amazing). I have learnt a lot which will be applied in my next application.
I am self sponsored. I submitted my usd dollar account with lump payments in 2 tranches without any explanation.

I didn't also attach my salary account since there was no fund it which I realised I should have done now and not enough evidence i was gainfully employed. I just submitted basic documents(mbs, b.sc cert, transcripts,c.v and previous visas to various countries; realising based on this thread that won't influence the decision)
Although I tried salvaging my application after already 5 weeks off showing eligibility required by sending a webform with a more detailed LOE and additional documents. Thanks to Shupy for responding to my enquiries.

I got my refusal letter 2 weeks later. I have ordered for my gcms notes, trying to wait patiently for it. My admission was for fall 2021 but will have to defer till January 2022.
P.s I submitted in March, NSE route.

It's a terrible thing.

I know of someone an agent added that the applicant sponsor is in Canada and family-related - which is not wrong to have.

The issue is she doesn't even know anyone in CA.

The application was declined. Now she's stuck & has to prove that she doesn't have any sponsor in Canada in her next application because that unknown relative is already tied to her UCI.

Her parent is the sponsor not any unknown family in Canada.

Regarding payment, there are several ways you could have done it yourself. There were several options you were not aware of.

Getting an immigration lawyer is possible, and the price varies, since each lawyer has his/her own price.

However, it is in the millions range... 1.5 million naira and above.
