When did Tweeting become a human right? The last time time i checked i didn't see tweeting as a fundamental human right in the Un charter.

Anyway, Twitter is just an American company, Twitter is a product and tweets is the action you do on Twitter.

If government banned Thailand rice, has your human right be taken away from you?

There are other brand of rice that you can buy and cook, similar with Twitter, there are alternatives, use the alternatives and stop complaining.

Let me add that Nigerians are being harrased in different international airports all over the world, you wouldn't see these governors and civil organizations trying to protect their citizens, an American app called Twitter was banned see them threatening fire and coal.

Misplaced priorities.

Danke!

Sorry to say, I see nothing but stupidity in what you wrote

Did you just quote UN CHARTER, THAILAND RICE AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH in the same sentence?? How delusional can one person be?

Yes it indeed distraction from pressing security matters

Look at how everybody is talking about Twitter suspension and forgetting about killings and kidnapping going on in country and especially in Benue state

Shame
And how exactly will you be able to talk about all those other things you consider so important once Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp and every other avenue of discussion has been banned to preserve Buhari's fragile ego? How will you be able to talk about anything going wrong when Nigeria becomes like North Korea? You clearly have no idea of the vital importance of freedom of expression in holding the powerful to account.

Really!!!

1. Are you aware of the number of Nigerian products and services that are promoted on the platform every hour daily

2. Are you are of the number of Nigerians that earn their income on daily basis? What alternative has the government put in place? Mind you, no 2 social media platforms are the same. Do you know what economic damages this irrational illegal policy decision has done to the practice of digital marketing and other 21st century careers.

3. The security concerns of this government could be managed better using the same platform to reach the Nigerians. Can you tell me what better alternative for the government and the government agency to reach the Nigerans in mass communication? How many busy Nigerians still watch television so often? There are better tactics that can be used to manage crisis than using iron-fist as encouraged by Femi Adeshina.

There will be life after this regime

COMON TWITTER BAN YOU ARE CRYING

WHEN WAR STARTS...

When war starts, first of all, you won't have internet to post or comment.

You won't be able to withdraw your money from the Bank, or even buy and sell.

Shops, market, hospitals, transport, petrol stations, power companies, will all be closed.
You will soon be left in darkness with no food, light or even water.

People will loot, kill, destroy, rape, kidnap and there won't be law enforcement agents to be called upon. The few law enforcement agents will be protecting the politicians and important facilities.

You won't even know where your brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and children are.

You will soon go hungry and you gradually die without even been hit by a bullet.

Every where will be on fire. All you will hear, will be guns, day in, day out.
It may last for days, weeks, months and even years.

War no be like wetyn you dey watch for American movies, weh dey end after one hour oh.

We will all end up in the forest

The UN will do nothing than send you aids, and the powerful will hijack them.

Today, look at Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine

Other countries will only be on the internet and be sympathising with us, but na we go suffer am.

You want Biafra, Oduduwa, Niger-Delta Republic and Arewa Republic?

Tell the law makers from your states to move a motion for referendum in the national Assembly.

If we continue this Gun games, it will consume all of us, and we will loose everything, including lives.

The person that asked you to carry guns, why is he not leading from the front with his own gun?
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO PROTECT US ALL. MAY PEACE CONTINUE TO REIGN IN OUR COUNTRY!

Another death trap, he can't safeguard lives and properties of his people and is here making noise unnecessarily. He must be high on orange juice and groundnut. This man has totally destroyed Benue state because of his greed.
The Ban was necessary for the growth of our darling nation. Wailers will never be happy.
Don't mind him, he is the worst governor presently. He still owes over 2 years salaries. He uses Buhari to cover up for his inability to protect his people. The boys he equipped with weapons are the ones doing the killings in Benue State. He refused to blame himself and uses Fulani Herdsmen as a cover up.

I have not seen a brave a sitting governor like Ortom.

Ban of twitter is not for the growth of Nigeria. It was a policy by the cowards. Can you explain why an organization/country will make a policy decision without proper preparation to implement it.

Twitter is part of tool-set for the modern marketing strategy.

Nigeria is backward today majorly because leaders in charge are not 21st systems compliant. You can imagine the supposed giant of africa does not have the capapcity to implement its policy.

There is no law known to Nigerians that empowers the government for such ban. Modern businesses promote their products and services on
twitter. A lot of Nigerians make their livelihood on this platform. A wise government would have made a better use of such platforms to manage things in the favour of her people, not rash decision again the basic discipline measure to an errant President by a company.

Can you defend that? We may create a poll and scientific research from that.
Just keep quiet. A brave governor haven't paid salaries for 2 years? Atimes you people just talk

"Ban on Twitter is illegal"---Governor Samuel Ortom

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Nigeria is my favorite governor in Nigeria. And he is the only governor who I believe was truly elected by people of Benue state. All other states governors in Nigeria, became governors through the back door.

And here is the thing, Governor Samuel Ortom speaks his mind on locals and national issues. He is not afraid of president Buhari. He is the only governor in Nigeria who has taken time to read the 1999 constitution of Nigeria. He knows his rights as the governor . Every time his state is attacked by the herdsman , he holds a news conference to condemn the violence and articulate his obligation to the citizens of his state. No any other states governors in Nigeria does that.

In 2023, I hope governor Samuel Ortom will run for president of Nigeria. Under governor Samuel Orton presidency, boko Haran and IPOD will be destroyed and buried for good.

Governor Samuel Ortom knows what government should do and should not do as articulated in 1999 constitution of Nigeria.

Nigeria needs educated people to take charge of their affairs instead of illiterate person like president Buhari. And governor Samuel Orton is that man.

President Buhari does not understand Nigeria constitution. He doesn't know his obligations to Nigerian citizens under the law. That is why his presidency has collapsed in front of the whole world.

Until Nigerians understand the dangers president Buhari has become, Nigerians will continue to suffer.
You're sick!

Tell him to pay salaries first before coming here to make noise.

No project to show for 6 years!

We truly deserve the leaders we have cause of people like you.

Ortom has not paid salaries? What does that has to do with Twitter ban policy of your federal governmenr policy.

Let help your shallow mind/brain, on this what we should encouraging is to have a framework that allows each state to control, and deploy their resources for development of their states and not to concentrate all the national resources to the prodigal lots at the centre!!! Ok.
