Picking in tranches
Picked at 28.30 last week...
It wont come down if it ends in June ...
At this price range...
Q2 report and interim dividend
Should push the price up....

I will wait till 3rd week in July and see.
If it’s still hovering on this side then I will accept GTB is not for me and move the best stock possible by then undecided

Money Market Funds have a uniform price of either N1.00 or N100 per unit.

Your capital is guaranteed, but your interests fluctuate depending on the assets in the portfolio. But at the end of the year you should be able to have an idea of the average interest for the year.

Your interests are calculated daily and it shows in your statement.

You are expected to leave your investment for 30 days before you sell, if you sell before the 30th day. You will lose 20% of the interest earned in the last 30 days. That is your penalty.

Money Market Funds invest in Treasury Bills, Bank Deposits, commercial papers and other short term instruments.

Fixed Income Funds invest in FG bonds, State bonds, Corporate bonds and money market instruments.
They don't have a fixed price, they use the Net Asset Value to determine the price of each unit. The prices are updated every day the fixed income fund of United Capital is about N1.95, while that of FBN Quest Asset Management is about N1800.

Your capital is not guaranteed in a Fixed Income Fund, that is why you are expected to leave your investment for 90 days. If you sell your Fixed Income Fund Investment less than 90 days of the purchase you will lose 20% of your capital appreciation.

2018 was a good year for fixed income fund managers some funds earned between 28% to 40%..

I hope this answers your question, you can mention me on the Mutual Fund thread for more
Thank you so much. I think FBN quest Fixed Income Fund is better than United Capitals based on the N1800 to N1.80 of UC

Hello. After much consideration, I've decided to buy sovereign trust plc shares out of the whole lot..
Just want a second opinion before I go ahead. Do you think it's a good buy?
Risk is mine of course
If you're not inclined to insurance stocks just stay away from them, don't buy because of another person's convictions. You may look the way of fundamentally sound stocks.

As for STI, if you feel like buying some, you may pick at low junction around 25-27kobo and take lots of drugs of patience.

I think Lasaco may be a good choice too......At current price, 1.39, Lasaco is trading @ 0.34k.....or let's say, 0.35k...........still awaiting release of result......IF it comes out fine, the coy may pay dividend. DD applies.

They may pay dividend.........like your conerstone did.

Anyway I am back.Hope you are seeing resistance in most stocks now?
Let's wait and see the stock that will prompt the breakout which will reflect in almost all the sectors of NSE.

Does not work that way.

The unit price of FBN Quest fixed income fund was N1000 when it started few years ago, while that of United Capital was N1.

Lol. Did I mention that Cornerstone will pay dividend? grin

As for Lasaco, the probability of paying dividend is there. Unaudited 2020 fye result was good, PAT more than double, just waiting for audited one.
Lasaco has been consistent with div payment for the past few years now.
Also I read somewhere that Lagos State inject some funds in the coy, can't remember if it's here again.
Las las, all na risk taking...... smiley

** Caveat: Not any form of recommendation.

Try this number: 09061706239
Mr. Barnabas. He's a compliance officer in First Registrar........one of the numbers given to me when I made certain complaint......
You have to keep calling him for updates.

Market: Generally dull this early hours......with retail traders still cherry-picking very low volumes across board......
Let's see if the deep pockets will arrive and take centre stage later......
