Abeg bro...I will suggest you leave school and start real hussle o. Nigeria is a failed state....get that fact for sure. I'm pretty sure what your father is suffering from is glaucoma. It happened to my mom and she has now lost her vision 100%. By the way, it's genetic meaning you all have to get your eyes tested and begin treatment when the signs are in view.

I pray you get the opportunity to travel to either UK or USA because that's the quickest way you can start supporting your family. Even the minimum wage you get over there ($ 8 an hour
40 hours a week can easily support your family when you convert it

Time is really not on your side and the fear you are feeling is your gut feeling telling you to do something fast

Go on dating sites and put your best pics to woo marriageable girls from abroad and please don't ask for money even after they have arranged your papers to come and join them. In obodo even first class grads are driving buses over there and doing security. No one dey watch you there

Alternatively, if you can drive then the world is your oyster. There are people who want drivers to take their cars and deliver money. Uber , Bolt and Taxify can also be done at the same time.

All in all, you really need to start making money before things get out of hand. You can always go back to school infact there are many online schools now but owo nikoko

Best of luck bro

There are so many
ok cupid
Badoo
POF
Tinder

But I got mine on okcupd. Also dont be so selective. Go for those 30 something desperate ones who want to settle. The key here is you do not have to be desperate. Show love care and attention and I repeat - Dont ask for money or anything. Even if she gives you out of her free will , tell her that here love is enough for you. She will respect you the more and even boast to her friends that you are not the money grabbing scammer that is usually the stereotype. It wont take time before you propose and before you know, you are abroad supporting your family. I hope it works well for you bro

Please How much does a family of four, father, mother and two kids need to show as proof of fund for a successful study permit approval.I will really appreciate if anyone could shed light because this is the only challenge I have now with this Sweden Education Journey..
9ja2sweden:
Hej, I was once like you in this situation thinking about what life holds for me. I was also the first of five siblings, meaning a lot of responsibility hinged on my shoulder. I graduated with a second class lower in Agricultural sciences which means I was literally almost not employable. I know what it feels like but to be in despair but I can reassure education is not a waste of time.

Firstly you might have to consider relocating abroad. Sweden is a great country to move over and you can pick up life from here. Secondly, education is the easiest route to migrate to Sweden from Nigeria. Why Sweden Sweden is the home of companies like Volvo, Scania, Ericsson, Tetra Pak, Skype, Spotify, IKEA, H&M, Electrolux. These are some of the biggest companies in the world and they're headquartered in Sweden. Now, what does that tell you about Sweden's economy?... Yeah, strong! They're even ranked the most innovative country in the European Union. Swedish higher education system is ranked top-5 in the world.

Your Swedish residence permit card for studies grants you visa-free travel to 26 countries in Europe including France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Norway and many others. All you have to do is buy your train, bus or flight tickets and get on board, no visits to any embassy. Even though this does not apply to the UK, Ireland and some other countries, but a visit to the Eiffel Tower of Paris, the fjords of Norway, the Alps of Austria or the home of Santa Claus in northern Finland should be enough to fulfill your tourist dreams.

Many people do not have the courage to take the necessary steps to achieving their dreams, but I can tell you Sweden is a great place to pick up your life again.

Like OP, I am also scared about my future. I am presently studying law, currently in year 2 but I have zero interest in the course. I don't even know what pushed me to choose it. It's so redundant and boring to me like I literally have to push myself to study just because I can't disappoint my parents with poor grades. I don't see my future in law,my passion is writing. I just want to leave this country and go study abroad and build my writing career there but everything is just so bleak.

Lol... I thought I was the only one... Year 3... But I'm already tired... I just thank God for the corona break... It made me pick up a skill which I'm currently harnessing rn

The biggest step is realizing you have a huge responsibility. Congratulations, you’ve crossed the first step. So many undergraduates do not realize the world out there is not a bed of roses until their final year. Some don’t even realize it even during their NYSC until their POP. That’s when they start thinking about which direction they’re headed to. Should they stay back? Should they travel home to their parents? etc

I understand how you feel. I studied a 5 year course. In my 4th year, I knew I wouldn’t graduate with a good result. I knew I wouldn’t be able to compete in the job market with graduates with better results and years of experience. It was depressing. I literally told myself my future was not bright.

The remaining part of my time in school was used for brainstorming, just as you’re currently doing. I later immersed myself in programming which I’ve always had passion for.

It’s been quite a journey but fast forward to today, I’m a Software Engineer with 2 full time jobs grin

The bottom line is discovering what you’re passionate about and following it up with the last drop of blood in you

Hey boss... Pls show me way abeg...

Hello everyone,
Bear with me pls, this might be a long read and I apologise in advance for any grammatical error.

Recently I've had a lot of thinking about my life after school, how I can finally support my family after I graduate this year, I am the first son and the first child in my mom's extended family, so I have a lot of people looking up to me, and we only have one source of income in my family which is my dad, and recently he developed a health condition which affects his eyesight, and that is making his work nearly impossible.
The problem now that I'm facing is that I literally don't know what I want to do after school, normally I've had this notion that I will cross that bridge when I reach there, but now the bridge is so close and I have no idea of how to cross, to make things worse, I saw my result this semester and I failed two courses which will make me to come back for an extension, it makes me sad whenever I think about it, cos my dad will have to continue his risky job (thats even riskier cos of his eyesight) for a year or so
Sad part is that I can't even think of any side job that might be profiting me while in school or any work that I can do without a certificate, my friends aren't giving me anything useful, I wanted to learn graphics design, I'm passionate about editing photo and videos, I also wanted to learn animation back when I was in secondary school, but my parents killed that dream telling me to go for a professional course, back then they were still thinking school is the only answer to being successful, now I regret allowing them to let that passion die.
Right now I need you guys advice if you have any concerning my situation, or if you've being in a similar situation like mine, I need to know how you made it out successfully

I will accept your criticism, advice and whatever piece of info you can share with me
