We are just like Angles to help one another. I use this platform to immigrate to the USA in 2013 I was among the second to the last set before the stop DV lottery in Nigeria. So I am giving back to the forum.

Wow..

Another question, must I take to the embassy with me the exact same passport I'm going to upload to NVC, or can I just snap another passport at anytime to take to the embassy?

NVC does not need to see your engagement pictures what are they doing with it they need your passport photo to attach to your DS260 forms It is the embassy that is intrested in seeing your engagement or any photograph that shows you and your spouses. NVC does not have any business with any photograph apart from passport photo on a white background.

You are correct. NVC do not require your family pictures when submitting your documents online. All they want to see, is the applicant's passport photographs. In the column for photographs, I uploaded two passport photographs and it was accepted. I am Documentarily Qualified. Writing from experience, not hearsay.

So far so good it is now clear that even if you upload a picture of Buhari there, NVC will approve it.

NVC seems to be very incompetent of late...

NVC is not incompetent, the required data for photographs to the uploaded is just 2 mb, so how do you think that your family photographs can be compressed to 2 mb? Let's get these things right. NVC do not require you upload your family photographs online because they only allocated 2 mb for the photographs. You can take the hard copies of your family photographs to your interview.

My PD is Jan 2007 and I received the second notification of case complete from nvc.
This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 05-Feb-2020. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.

Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

Visa interviews at many U.S. Embassies and Consulates have been delayed as result of the global COVID-19 outbreak. For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.

Important: The applicant should not make any permanent financial commitments until they have received their immigrant visa. This includes activities such as:
- Selling a house, car or property,
- Resigning from a job, or;
- Making other travel arrangements.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Greencards are issued after arrival in the US. I know a person that got his within 3 weeks of arrival and another it took about 6months due to a typo in her name. With COVID and all, I would say within 3 months if no issues, it could be much less than 3months. Immigration tries to get it out to you as soon as possible because you need it to work.

Hi I'm still stuck at NVC
Mine was category f4. We have submitted all required documents (AOS and Civil) except for the police certificate that we had just replace with the rejected one. I have been wait for 1 month to get a review. Is this an abnormal thing or just keep waiting.
Would appreciate getting a reply from anyone here.
Thank you in advance.

Please I would like to know why the previous one was rejected.

And how long did it take for them to review it after submission the first time.

As per your question, why don't you contact them through their public enquiry from.

The previous one got rejected if based on NVC it was stated that it was kind of like not a right document and that one I think NVC took one-half month to review. Really should i contact them? because I'm afraid asking them through public inquiry form may further delay a process.
Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by socheata: 4:48pm On Jun 23, 2021

Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by Ifeanyichukwu42: 4:59pm On Jun 23, 2021
I dont see any need to be afraid of contacting NVC . NVC does not have the right to deny your case rather they make sure that your documents are correct and forwarded to the embassy. Or better still a clear conscience fears no accusation. If your know you are migrating through a genuine means then send them a mail or be patient they will review your documents.

Dont be worried they are better organized in handling documents than what it is in Nigeria and mind you their is traffic / backlog so NVC work with instructions from the embassy. They embassy does not want to be bombarded with case. Stay calm brother American dollar no go finish.
