To be honest, you are putting yourself in a limited box, with your requested conditions.

Firstly not wanting to work for anyone... who or what entity will support your residency paperwise?

Secondly Entrepreneurship Taxes... bro let's be real here, 20 Million is not even up to 50,000 USD so what 100% profitable venture can you set up as an entrepreneur, let's say in Canada that's going to give you a consistent flow to match up to the taxes without you running at a loss within the first year?

Which Brings me to the third point; [s]Entrepreneurship/investment visa... the minimum amount required for most visas of this category is usually 150k usd or more depending on the country, and you are well below that threshold assuming you want to go indy, so your options are quite limited.[/s]

You seem limited to Caribbean zones or South American zones, scratch off some profitable Asian zones and English speaking zones.

For Europe the dynamics are very different, you just need to have a base in either a supporting employer, a spouse or an educational institution otherwise, Nada...

Either ways rethink your strategy, the specifics you stated are very limiting. I think relocation requests a great deal of flexibility from the individual, because things most definitely do not go as envisaged in such situations.
in western countries business taxes are lesser than work taxes especially if you are employing people
And also he said he doesn't mind taking the work visa route

Since you are into entertainment.... I will suggest
Australia....

I don't know how much is naira to Australia dollars but I have friends in Australia and starting a business their is cheap... Their taxes is quite moderate compared to UK, Canada and USA. The only problem is there housing cost, which is high... BUT with 20million naira and you know what you are doing... I will suggest you go to Australia... Just do your research well ....

Who ever makes 20 million legitimately will not be depressed by the distractions of Nigeria. Unless those who sit online and see the glories of London, USA and China online and feel they deserve to be out there.

Besides, to make 20m legitimately, you have business partners, outlets and products or services you will not want to let go of.

Based on these facts, you are better off at any country, cos all you need is a laptop and a few 'softwares' to "make your beats", right?

Try Ghana, in case you have need to run back here

If you could hustle to gather together that much money in Nigeria, why not hustle even more to keep multiplying it in the same Nigeria? Every other country will present its own set of challenges in terms of starting from scratch, fitting into a new society, getting your 'papers/stay', etc. Just saying. undecided

One thing with Nigeria is, you could work hard and earn money as a banker for many years, then suddenly boom! You lose your job and depression sets in, there’s no support from the system so it robs you of your savings completely, trying to grapple with various ventures

Nice one bro, I am happy you understand that the system in the UK, US and Canada are not designed to favour anyone.

One country you can go to live is Russia, with 20 Millions naira you would be rich In Russia and if you have a good source of income then in dollars then it would be a perfect fit

Good day Nairalanders..

I am in dire need of support from people who have travel experience.
When I say travel experience, I mean people who has relocated from Nigeria completely.

I will be 30 next month, single (have always hated the idea of marrying any lady in Nigeria because I have been unlucky with most of them i met as they seem complicated, inconsequential, dishonest and inexposed).

To make this short, I spent a lot of my youth working so hard to save enough money with the mindset to relocate from Nigeria as Nigeria depresses me alot.

I have been able to save nearly 20 million naira, excluding investments running in millions i wish to put on cargo to ship wherever I wish to relocate to.

Now, my problem is finding a suitable location or environment where i can relocate to without stress and problems.

Note that, I do not intend to work for anyone as I have my own skills.

United States, United Kingdom are out of my plans as I have realised their system are not built to favour me or my type of person and seem more like stress and a slavery environment to me.

I applied for Canada visa with hope to get work permit but has been on hold for months as they have been on lockdown since.

Having lived in South Africa before for a short while and felt like home there, I had it as an option but I am at crossroads, if I can have better suggestions from experienced people here.

Also, if anywhere in Europe is advisable (remember I do not wish to work for anyone except part time, in my field or if must require me to get a work visa)

Please I need advice.

Get a remote work visa. I have one and presently live outside Naija. Contact me via DM for an honest expose on the whole thing.

Nonsense question.

[s]You get 20mil you want to relocate,What makes you think you can make 20milion naira even if you go to Canada and stay there for 5 years.

Having 20 million naira with you is a sign that you are destiny to make it in Nigeria than any other country unless you make the 20 million naira though fast line.

You better use the same brain wey you use make the 20 million in Nigeria well o[/s]
did he say he was traveling because I wanted to make more money? Make una dey reason above money sometimes, it seems money has clogged you guys brain. You can't think straight like a normal human being anymore..

Dear
Please and please don't try that relocation plan. It is might most likely end up in regret.
Any Country that you can make such savings at your age will surely produce more money and opportunities to grow.

Relocation is for jobless or hopeless people in their current location, so they need to try something different.
But for someone doing something profitable, please relocation is not an option.

I want to ask you a question :
Why do you think Dangote and other richer Nigerian have refused to relocate? That is a deep question for you.

It is only your Country that can give you the fulfillment of life with your money... Once relocated just forget about that honor... people around you in your new location will see you as a slave that has come around to make a living...

Talking from experience please.
You may contact me for personalized advise.

Wishing you all the best.

Guy, don't go anywhere. You can live a better life here in Nigeria with your kind of mindset and hustle. You only go abroad to rest.
Focus on your business and grow it bigger.

If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't relocate.

Anyone who is gainfully employed or into serious business in Nigeria like you have no business going abroad. Though you will enjoy the serenity, life over there is not as rosy as many think. You will not be the big boy you are here in Nigeria, you may end up living from paycheque to paycheque if things don't go as planned.

Secondly, your field - entertainment may not be lucrative there because you are an immigrant. Skilled jobs like; plumbing, electrician, earth moving equipment handlers are in demand and is what most migrants do to live a normal life and send some money back home.

The countries you excluded (US & UK) as compared to others are countries that pay well, and as well can have the opportunity to improve yourself and get better jobs or even change career if you wish. So I don't know why they are not part of your option.

In summary, you know what's important to you. Give it proper consideration and make your decision, whichever way it turns out to be, it's your load.

King where?
A place where he doesn't have steady power supply?
A place where if her has an accident,he will die because he won't have emergency medical response?
A place where he can lose all those money in one day as ransom for kidnappers?
A place where the so called twenty million naira can barely afford a brand new car except second hand(apparently a second hand king).
A place where he has no rights,he can be killed by the bullet from a police man, soldier, armed robber or kidnapper?

Apparently you are very narrow minded and from a very poor background. This has influenced your reasoning. For you, having 20 million makes someone a king!

Just know that some people are more far sighted and exposed. Just carry this your low thinking to those guys that read newspapers every morning at your junction....they will gain alot from your wealth of knowledge.

with 20 million you better keep your ass in nigeria. there is nothing out there. the whole world is crumbling. buy a small bungalow and just semi-retire and live in peace

Honestly you have helped me answer him/her.. alot of people do not understand the pain living in Nigeria and its insecurity..

Most of the basic problem like power and so on, I have solved them on my own with inverters and such but the depression still comes living in Nigeria. Nigeria is a failed local government that I cannot continue to cope with.
