Good evening house, can someone reapply immediately after a refusal if the reason for refusal was a misconception and can one also change travel date which would be different from the 1st application which was refused?

You can do a transit visa. Or check other travel dates perhaps you can get a lower fare.

Yes you can reapply and can change non identifying information as each application is treated on its own merit.

Hello Guru's

I lecture in a public University and have a FG grant for a 10months postdoc in the UK.

Please help confirm the following;

1) My visa type should be a tier2 general?
2) Do I apply for 1 or 2 yrs Visa, if yes is it advisable to pay for a return tickets? Or just one way?
3) What documents do I need from my sponsor?COS only?
4) Is it advisable to apply together with my dependants? Husband and 2 children? Or we put in an application for them after ours?
5) My husband is a Medical Lab Scientist, will he be able to work full-time during our stay? are there any online courses he should take to ease his job search?
6) Is lecturing a good field as a career in the UK? In terms of renumeration and job satisfaction?
6) Na wa....so much questions in my mind...

Tier 2 visa is for those that are sponsored by an employer in the UK, given a contract of employment and then issued a Certificate of sponsorship to come to the uk by same UK sponsor/employer. Are u sure this is the visa category u should be applying under?

Not sure..I'm trying to reach an informed decision, hence my questions on this platform.

My opinions have been between T2 &T5.

@Justwise, Lexus??, Lagosismyhome and other guru's.... please react to this from your wealth of knowledge/experience....

I put that up there so you can study eligibility criteria as i don’t quite understand if you are employed by the Nigerian govt or the uk govt as you say you have a Cos.Plus you are a little vague on the grant is it to study or for research purposes.I feel if you have a scholarship technically you are a student and not a highly skilled worker(No disrespect to your field).
Do you have a CAS or a COS?.

Good afternoon...just wondering...can one get a care support or clinical care or HCA jobs via NHS from Nigeria. Some of the NHS Hospitals sometimes put there that applications from overseas for a Tier 2 visa are welcomed. But in real sense, will they be willing to grant certificate of sponsorship from Nigeria.

Good day everyone,

I am about to apply for a UK tourist visa for the first time.
A very close friend is inviting me over, she is a Nigerian with a British passport.
I work in Nigeria and I am married with two kids.
My issue is that my savings is not up to 1m. I intend to stay for two weeks, the 10days quarantine inclusive.
I will be staying at her place throughout my stay.
One more thing, I have a sister in the UK who is also a British national.
Any advise?

I will be visiting a long time friend, who will house me, feed me and generally take care of me in the UK. I intend to stay for two weeks, the 10 days quarantine inclusive and I will be indoors most times...I don't intend to spend much apart from gifts on my return. What do u think?

Use the TLS website. There's a tracking option from the landing page.

The page you see when you click on provide biometrics on the UKVI site.

So she would provide you a letter of invitation, Data page/proof of British citizenship, council Tax/electric or gas bill and payslips/work letter.
All you need really is return ticket and miscellaneous which would be under £900/522K.
Thats just about half your savings which is a huge chunk to blow just to be able to look around for 4 days but you are eligible as you have someone to take care of you and have some money of your own.
The outcome can go either way.
