Niger Delta people don't need to agitate for anything, we have our own game plan. Stop worrying about Niger Delta, just stick to the South East. We do what we want and when we want. We are happy with our lives,it's not the problem of the Niger Delta people if Igbo people feel miserable in Nigeria. If you feel miserable then do something about it,stop disturbing us.We come from different tribes in the Niger Delta, we are not your brothers, move on. Niger Delta people owe you nothing. Thank you for taking your time to write this sir. But don't you think the Niger-Delta can demand for their own "Nigeria-NigerDelta referendum" to hold at the same time with the "Nigeria-Biafra referendum" of the Igbos? Must Nigeria breakup only into Nigeria and Biafra? The USSR broke up into 15 countries. Can't something similar play out with Nigeria's breakup? Or won't the United Nations allow Nigeria breakup into more than two countries?

Although, I would've preferred it if Nigeria can breakup into two which are:

A. NIGERIA (with the North-East, North-West and Abuja)

B. SOUTH NIGERIA (with the old Southern Nigeria protectorate and the Middle-Belt).
bros make I put mouth for this una talk.

You see the issue with Niger Delta is this. Divide and rule is working so well.

Let me say this. Niger Delta is split 50-50
Like a Lotta people with Biafra and the other half with Nigeria you see the Efik/bibios ehn.. Forget what you see online they are Biafran supporters. But in the s/east let's say about 85% are pro biafran.

My point being, the Niger Delta are even yet to discover themselves like, who and who belongs to the N/Delta because it's obviously split.

These Niger Delta republic don't agitate, they do no create any form of awareness like the Oduduwas, just sit down doing nothing. So who will take such group serious? Or they want to climb off other people's agitation?

The Ijaws seem to be championing this Niger Delta thing, they should also understand that pushing for something of such magnitude need numbers and force, they can never do it alone, igbos who have been doing it consistently for years.. Still no show.

The igbos are better allys if you ask me because no igbo man or group has entered the so called Niger Delta to commit Christian Jihad or disrupt una business.

Well lemme stop here, I just pray you people don't regret if worst come to worst.

Let's us all stop living in denial

Niger Delta and Biafra can never be one, so your dad is right.

Biafra is free to take the Ibo communities in Niger Delta region along with them.

And yes Nigeria cannot break into 2, Niger Delta people will not be a party to that, we will have our own nation the rest regions can form Southern Nigeria
Exactly what igbos have been asking for.. Give us our brothers in the south south let's go then maybe Akwa/cross if they wish because they've been the only crew genuinely in support of the Biafran struggle

Thank you for your mature contributions sirs. I'm learning so much here.

I want to ask Biafrans and Niger-Deltans hard questions:

To IPOB and Biafrans: What are you people willing to do to convince Niger-Deltans that the Igbos won't become the new Hausa-Fulanis in your Biafra?

To Niger-Deltans: If Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB decide to change the name of their country from Biafra to NIGER-DELTA REPUBLIC with the Niger-Delta flag and add the zoning system to their constitution, will Niger-Deltans and the militants agree to join the agitation?
let me speak for my self as a Biafran.
On a normal day igbos will prefer igbo nation but they've been alot of blood ties.

Now to your question. It is so obvious that igbos can never be like the hausa fulani Lord's.

1.lets call a spade a spade, there is an agenda to exterminate people, weda we choose to believe it or not... The wise ones knew this many years back. And these is as a result of some religious fanatics upnorth. Igbos don't have that mindset.. We've never performed jihad on any town in our lives and can never wen Biafra comes, it's not in our gene.

2.im not trying to force Biafra on anyone, just answering your questions, but see we have a lot in common with the "Niger Deltans".. We've married, we have mixed bloods just like the hausa-fulanis. Me as an Igbo man was born in calabar, schooled in Akwaibom.. My best homie na warri boy.. I just feel at home in the south than when I go the north, why is it so
Because we have similar ideologies.

3. It is a known fact that Igbos are hardworking and industruos by nature and solely concentrate on their business, look what igbos have achieved with little after the war even when their oil is controlled by the North.
So tell me will such people have time to dy look your oil when he never sell him spare part finish?

4.southerners as a whole are forward thinkers and an alliance with the Niger Deltans will make the country move forward
Igwe bu Ike (there is strength in numbers)

5.patriotism, yes patriotism. Igbos after The Biafran war became so patriotic after the war, they tried in their own way to move the country forward in terms of science, sports etc but their efforts are always killed and ridicled.. If the Niger Deltans prefer a Nigeria where your ideas are killed to a Biafra that seems to have good signs then so be it.

6 Democracy: we are democratic by nature, we naturally don't want anyone to intimidate us (what's good for the goose is good for the gander)
And for a long time now the Igbo have always screemed that it will be a case of every one control your area with little to the center. This way the Niger Deltans get to control their oil

Dunno if i made sense

I wouldn't say that I am sure why IPOB wants to bring the minorities on board, but we just cannot deny Igbos that have been harangued and harassed into denying themselves and their heritage by the Nigerian state. Most of their behaviour is simply survival strategy in a nation that being Igbo puts anyone at a disadvantage. I think that most of those peripheral Igbo, especially in Delta, Rivers and Edo went through a lot to have reached the consensus that survival comes before heritage. Reminisce what Igbos in the heartland must have gone through after the war to understand what those that were isolated from the mainland may have gone through. This is why I do not support any notion that they should be abandoned. Southern minorities are free to reject Biafra, but our own people should get all the encouragement they need to understand the danger of being lefty behind.
5 Stars. Now, it's left for the South-East to start strategizing. First thing, is to form a new group that understands tacts, diplomacy and charisma. IPOB lacks all of these. The most useless group in the history of freedom fighting. When all is put in place, then we can begin to reason with you, afterall whatever pinches the South-East pinches us too.

Lol. You're funny sir. I saw it on a Facebook page called "Igbo Republic". I don't think those Igbo Republic people are members of IPOB because I've seen a few comments of IPOB members calling them saboteurs.
Anybody spearheading the star of David as flag for a future Igbo republic is a brainwashed urine drinking IPOB clown. Many of them, realizing their multi-ethnic folly in Biafra, now want to take cover by designing a star of David flag for Ndigbo. No true Igbo man who understand his culture and traditions will use a Jewish insignia. Zik, Okpara, Ikoku, Achebe and Ojukwu will be turning in their graves seeing how IPOB Jews are making mockery of the Igbo nation.

I'm in most Ijaw forums.
Their thought is that once Igbos open the floodgates of seccession after years of sacrificing our own blood, they(Ijaws) will use that window of opportunity to declare their own independence too.
And if the Igbo fails, they would rekindle their relationship with the Gambaris and try to expand more into Igbo territories.

IPOB must be aware of these lots plans and make sure to thwart them.
you guys see everything as business no wonder south south are having double mind about this facial love you guys are portraying. I stand to be corrected, Igbo I know will be far worst than Fulani in marginalising the minorities. To you guys the opinion of the south south doesn't matter, Igbo's own is supreme and final. You failed to understand that all the state in the southern part of the Nigeria can become an independent country.

See, I don't know where you are from. But I'm not a fan of Kanu and IPOB multi ethnic BIAFRA.
I'm rabidly Igbophilic and want Igbo only Biafra as I think the Minorities are nothing but liabilities to Ndiigbo.
You might need to take your frustrations at being included in IPOB Utopia multi ethnic BIAFRA to Kanu and his IPOB members.
I'm too proud an Igbo Man to want Minorities in an Igbo country.

The Igbos need to sit down and ask themselves why they are being rejected from every angle. They may want to conxlude that it is because other tribes hate them.I don't think it has anything to do with hatred.I think it has to do with trust issues. They are generally not trusted and so nobody is willing to go with them even if Biafra might be economically viable. They are on their own.

ScamHunter:
My dear, let me tell you what you do not know. Igbos want an Igbo ONLY country, but for some unknown reasons, IPOB wants the 1967 Biafra, plus other Igbos not captured in that Biafra. These are Igbos in Edo, Delta, Kogi and Benue. Some think it may be because of access to the sea that they want the minorities in the South, but that should not be an issue. Even if Ijaw, Ogoni, Annang, Ibibio and Ikwerre refuse to join Biafra, the Igbo nation can create access to the sea through the Urashi River and River Niger. But if the Ikwerre who deny their Igboness and Opobo which is owned by Igbo become part of the new nation, that would not be an issue since these are bounded by the Atlantic. So with either Opobo or Ikwerre, Biafra would have direct access to the sea, but if these vote in a referendum not to be part of Biafra, dredging the River Niger and Urashi River would be the options left. This could be settled through a maritime agreement. Afterall, oil and gas are piped from the SE and SS all the way to the North and beyond. So accounts can be balanced with that.

Having said that, let me also say that if Igbos leave Nigeria without the Southern minorities, it will be a tough call for them to get their own country. These things just do not work that way. You see, Igbo are paying the price of self determination and it is only a matter of time for the world to hear them. Let me tell you what will happen then. The call for referendum will be honored and that referendum will be for all Igbo in Nigeria and the former Biafra of 1967. Nevertheless, the minorities such as Ijaw can speak up loudly not to be included in the referendum but I doubt that that would work with the UN. All would be made to participate and decide if they would be part of Biafra or not. That is when people like your daddy can make their voices heard. Ijaw is a closely knit tribe and I am sure that they can make their voices heard as one people and decide not to be part of Biafra. In which case, they revert back to Nigeria when Igbo and others that vote Yes exit.

Now on a final note, do not think that Ijaw and the minorities would casually demand for a referendum after Igbo has gone. It doesn't work that way, the choice before them is join Igbo or remain in Nigeria. There is no middle ground. I suspect that this is why IPOB is insisting on carrying along the minorities - the power in numbers. If Biafra exits without the minorities, not even in 100 years would they have the voice to get a referendum from the UN. They lack that clout as minorities, so their voice is Igbo. You can take a cue from the Kurds in Iraq and Turkey who have been agitating for decades. Igbo are paying with resilience and blood. Can the minorities do that when Igbo are gone? Good luck to you.

Oil dey your head abeg.

But methinks when date for referendum is fixed, a vigorous campaign will be embarked upon to make these people understand the benefits of joining Biafra than remaining in Nigeria to become an infinitesimal fraction of with the only hope of blowing up oil pipeline whenever they are aggrieved.

The Ijaws better not make a mistake that their Children will grow up to curse them for.
