Hello guys, is it possible to make 8 port diseq switch by combining two 4port? I have two 4port diseq switch I want to add more satellites, am wondering if there's a way to combine the 2 4in 1 diseq switches I have that going to buy a new 8port. A fast reply will be greatly appreciated....thanks.

Gurus in the how, my decoder Strong Srt 497s got fried and I took it to a guy who helped me bring it back to life, but the problem is all the mytv channels are showing scrambled channels now except NTA and tiwa n tiwa which will flash scrambled channel then show their programs, but before all the channels were showing, and my subscription will expire by October, I called their customer care and they said I should contact and installer to check my connection and the Dish still the same issue persists, I called them again and they told me to take the decoder to their accredited dealer which I did the dealer couldn't help so I took the decoder back now am watching normal free to air. Please what could be the issue help I love those their documentary channels rt Smithsonian and cctv documentary

I think it could be the software version he used to revive it,try using a newer software

I was actually trying to upgrade to the newer software when it got fried, the software on it is the lastest software now as confirmed by their customer care. thanks bro, I am even thinking maybe I should take it to the guy to return it to the original software I bought it with

Always do aback up copy before installing a new software incase a problem comes up you could always revert to the original copy.

Look for anyone with a working , SRT497, copy the software and install on yours.

Did the technician change any internal components like transistor or something else?
Did you also confirm from the customer care if you account is running/active.

If the earlier is the case then that may have altered with the chip number used to activate the account resulting in you getting the "scrambled channel" message. You mentioned other fta channels are smooth right?

I don't know if he changed anything, he told me that he flashed it, yes my account is active and running it will expire by October, yes other FTA channels are smooth including NTA and tiwa n tiwa thanks

If you can remember the previous firmware version on your decoder go and download it and put it to your decoder , if you don't remember get someone who is using the same decoder as yours and let him back up his software version from his decoder for you and use it to flash yours .

I don't think you can combine two 4x1. But it's possible to combine 8x1 to one 4x1.

Just get the normal 8 way switch
