Due to the nature of my job then I have travelled to almost all the states in Nigeria. I was in Ogun state sometime ago and went to a shop to buy something. The shop owner was outside the shop gisting with someone and I was kinda pissed off cos I was in a hurry. I said " who dey sell here na" She heard my voice and rushed in and started speaking Yoruba apologizing for keeping me waiting. I smiled and told her I don't understand Yoruba. Her countenance changed immediately, she squeezed her face and said " ah omo Ibo ni" I was not in the mood to exchange words with her that day, cos if I talk now dem go say I insult my mama mate. When she made that statement it was as if she regretted selling her stuff to a stranger from space. Or regret apologizing to a non Yoruba.....As I dey go I come dey reason the thing, so if person nor be Hausa or Yoruba he don turn Igbo automatically?
