If you haven’t made payment just make another entry and generate a new coupon code otherwise, mail the fmjfee and tell them your issues, they should be able to rectify any problem you might have

So sorry about your denial my dear brother. Your do not sound like a credible student in all your responses here as. Do you have a proposed transcript at all ahead of your interview? Do you have series of mock interviews as well too coupled with making a lot of changes/corrections in your PT among your friends?

You have a weak responses at where you are been asked how did you got to know this school and also what have you been doing since you graduated. The VO didn’t ask you about your academic credentials/background at where you made mention of you having ND & HND rather telling him/her what you’ve been doing since you have this degrees after your graduation like now he/expect to talk like this; I have been working as a graduate Teaching Assistant at the my alma mata at the department of Physics and my job description are (1) I involved in proctoring (2) I grade , mark etc and so on like that.

However, there is still room for an improvement in your responses to this two vital questions he/she asked you. Also, how you filled your DS-160 matter as well too because I don’t know what you wrote inside it like your job description/responsibilities as that will showcase to the VO that you have the innate knowledge of been a credible person that intend to come to study.

Finally, God is alive my brother and don’t be weak with this rejection as I understand how you will feel with today’s decision but that’s not the final decision at all. Just ensure you work very well on your responses in your next attempt and I pray and hope you will surely it by God’s grace.

Thank you and Take Care.

Thank you very much, God bless you.

Good day all,
Great Job what you guys are doing.

Quick one, i applied for a F1 visa, sadly i was denied few days ago, before my interview date, i noticed my school made a mistake in my i20, by putting "personal funds" instead of family funds,as my source of funding. The interview was going well, until i was asked how am i going to pay for my trip, and i said my dad, immediately she typed for some seconds and handed me the blue slip.

Now, i have been working as a banker for about 3 years, i have saved some funds, and my bank statement shows a tranx count of about 30mill in about 1year, although closing bal is about 2m now.

Should i fill a new ds160 and maintain the personal funds and maybe i can expalin to the VO that i will he funding the trip then my dad can help out id need be? Or i should mail my school asking them to change my i20?

Please guys your inputs are appreciated.

I applied for emergency interview today at Abuja and got approval email within the hour, I would advise you to upload your i-20, SEVIS receipt and admission showing funding if any. Also politely state your case stating the resumption date clearly.

I applied too for an emergency date and I got my approval within 2hours how ever, I have been unable to reschedule, it is still showing dates in October. Please what can I do?

Mine is showing dates in late August so I haven't rescheduled but I believe you were given a time frame within which you must reschedule, hopefully a closer date comes up before then. But just keep checking likewise for me too.

Don't let this delay discourage you.
If you had read through this part 16, you'd have seen people advise that you don't say anything different from what you have on your i-20 and DS-160.
You either defend it (convincingly) or input what's correct.

When you received your i-20 and saw that your school put yourself as your sponsor (personal funds) and you were prepared with your dad as your sponsor, you could've sent an email to your school to correct the mistake and classify it under 'family funds'.

Secondly, from the knowledge gained here, I can say that the VO isn't concerned about the volume of transactions but the start balance and particularly the closing BALANCE.
I learnt they see deposit of lump sums as red flags (expect you can defend them convincingly).
Remember, this is assumed to be the money you'll use for the payments over there.
The balance should be equal to or greater than your deficit.

If the balance of your account is 2m and it's less than your deficit, that might be a problem.

Sometimes, you're not even asked to show your SOA.

Your question about filling a new DS-160...I don't know how that works for a second Application. I'll allow those more experienced to make inputs.

You mind sharing your transcript so others can see if there are other areas you need to work on?

In all, Prepare well, pray well.

Can't wait to see your approval testimony soonest.

Wish you grace

I emailed my school concerning stating my uncle's support as personal funds and the screenshot was her reply.

It’s perhaps the inconsistency in his DS-160.

The highlighted isn't a mistake, some schools put up funds from family members (relatives) under personal funds. If your school falls under that category You should state it boldly in the interview. I don't think this is a reason for denial.
