Your internal GP is what is most important. I know many 3rd class graduates who have risen to heights in their careers by virtue of what they can actually do. Focus on your strengths, downplay your weaknesses. Never mention your 3rd class except if/when asked. And come up with a solid reason why it doesn't matter. All the best.

Trust me most of our leaders and chairmen of big organisations do not have any University degree.

Offcourse yes.. you can be accorded with all benefit given to full and you are elegible for full staff... all you need is that certificate not what is inside though some HR may capitalized on it but it is not neccessary because you have been working there for long and what u applied for is just an upgrade

Get money and get a skill if you're in Engineering or science sector

Get money and get a professional certificate if you are in social science sector

Don't even allow that 3rd class issue to bother your head. Your skills will speak for you. Don't even add your grade to your CV.
Go and acquire skills like IT Project management, scrum master, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Diploma (CIPS), Business analysis, Software development, content creation, etc etc. You will blow while 1st class graduates are still job-hunting with pride

Working there for three years as a contract staff would have availed them the opportunity to know your other areas of strength where you can contribute to the company other than just your certificate.

On your part: Except if you were not giving your best as a contract staff, you did not learn on the Job or you could not convince them in the interview that you are you understand what you have been doing. Nothing should stop them from hiring you.

On their part: Except they have special interest in the new person coming if you were interviewed with other people, want to spend more money and time in imparting the knowledge you already have from them or they see you as not been able to demonstrate to them that you have learnt while there. You should be a good hire to them.

Your Certificate is not the only way to test your capability and suitability for the job. Depending on the role you are meant to play there, for your three years as a contract staff, they would have examined other areas like:

- Your attitude to work. Are your punctual? Do you take given assignments/responsibilities serious? Do you complain on necessarily when assigned tasks?

- Your abily to lead and be lead. Employee not matter how low on the cadre could still be entrusted with leadership role.

-Your ability to deliver or learn on the job where applicable. Do you complete your given task to the satisfaction of your boss?

-Your relationship with your colleagues. Are you cordial with your colleagues? You may not necessarily be friends but at least can you work with them and achieve needed result for the company?

-Then your relationship with the client/customers of the company...
