My sister will be applying for UK student visa but the account is in her [b]maiden [/b]name while International passport and all other correspondence is in her [b]married [/b]name. I was of the opinion that newspaper publication and affidavit for change of name to cover the fact that same person bears both name should suffice. However, she reached out to me to say the agent from the school in Sunderland says account name must be in her application name(married name) to get visa.
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? Please advise so we can know next step as i know it takes those banks ages to even change name on account oh (even me sef…..over 1 year that I requested for such in GTB, change of name is yet to reflect on my account)

Change of name based on marriage does not take time let her present all her documents to the bank.
It is only when you change your name based on other reasons that it takes time especially for males. Let her do it once and for all . 100%

Went to IOM Lagos and with significant patience and humility I was able to get a date for July.

My advice to anyone who doesn’t have a date yet and wants to join the September resumption cycle is to sort out TB testing date ASAP, as further delay is dangerous.

I think I know your shoe size (figuratively). What you should look for is schools that offer a 2yrs masters program that way, you get time to pay off.

BCU is overwhelmed with applications, persons that applied and paid deposit few months ago are still waiting for pre-cas interview dates.

I would advice you apply to other schools now

I was awarded the partial scholarship at the time my offer letter was given. It was stated in my offer of admission letter.

I have been offered admission to study at BCU too. I have paid my fee deposit by myself using form A with Gtbank. You can also pay by yourself.

From oshodi get a bus going to ikeja along, but specify that you be alighting at either ladipo, shogun or PWD(#100), Cross the rail line and you will see those small buses. Tell them you are going to no 1 isaac Jones. Its easier that way.

My relative has recently graduated/completed his studies on medicine at Ukraine this year 2021 June. For those going to or has gone to Sheffield Hallam university, after the initial 1k deposit has been paid, how do you pay the 50% fee at enrollment??
Can it still be paid with Form A or it has to be paid over there in Pounds? Which means I’ll have to convert my naira to pounds first? Pls clarify? As I’m thinking the conversion rate will be high compared to using form A of around 585/£. Pls urgent responses needed.
