When you dump your dirts and garbage inside the drainage, where exactly do you think is goes, It gathers in a particular place to form a heap of dirts which suffocates water from going where it's channelled to.

They should open all gutters and water ways, and proper way of disposing dirts should be adopted and the dirt recycled which is transmitted into another energy which could generate electricity, that's how sensible developing country thinks.

lawma no longer come to carry waste bins.It is when it rains that flood sweeps the wastes that are gather outside.They bring bills every month.If a house is owing more than 6 months they lock the house.

Why do they have to lie it's cos of blocked drainage
The truth is the water ways have been blocked most of the water ways have been reclaimed and sold off
So when there is a downpour the water has no where to go
So it returns to the drainage and floods the streets

Take a chill, Bros. Even some of the European megacities are often flooded. There's no big deal about that, especially if the city is not much higher than the Sea Level. Some semi-literate minds in Geography and Oceanography wouldn't know this. Flooding isn't always caused by filth and unplanned landscape. Even then, show me which city is planned or is better than Lagos in Nigeria.

Last time I checked Abuja is planned and better.

Have you not seen flood in America before? Flood occurs when their is heavy rainfall within a short time and the rate of the rainfall surpasses the rate of drainage. After a few hours, the flood disappears. Go to this same location two hours after the rainfall and see if you'll find the flood.

The government has a responsibility to keep the gutters clean and clear at all times, 24/7.
No excuse.
