My Confusion About God And The Scriptures. by Nobody: 8:34am On Jul 01, 2021
I have been thinking about this lately and decide to share it here. Don't get me fellas, I'm a Christian and believe in God and his son Jesus Christ

BUT

It is believe that God created the world and knows what happened before, what is happening presently and what will happen later till the end of time. This brings me question on why he allowed Satan to decieve man, why was he also angry since He knew beforehand of what will happen? Then the consequent punishment, was it really justified?

The most confusing part to me now is life after death. I personally believe that there is heaven and hell right from my childhood days until one guy (Jehovah witness) told me that there is nothing like hell, he went on that even heaven is for a specific number of choose people and not for everyone, above all, he said that when one dies, your own is finished and you are not gonna go anywhere. Simply put, your body and spirit will die.

I nearly insulted him for spewing such rubbish but many years after, I'm beginning to think think twice about this issue.
Now, imagine suffering in this life for all the days of your life only to meet death (body and spirit),

My question is;

1) why not just enjoy your life even if it means doing bad things to enjoy life?
If you can't enjoy life, why not kill yourself and rest to avoid the sufferings?

2) Even if there is life after death, what if there is no suffering cos God may decide to give everyone peace after death.

3) Those that didn't hear anything about God, what is their fate?

4) which of the scriptures is to be trusted?

May God forgive my ignorance if what I just wrote is bad and punishable.

The Christian concept of a god has failed all test and if everyone should be sincere, we know he doesn’t exist. They are just trying hard to hold on to the lies in the stories by concocting more lies.

People will always feel threatened when you tell them their god doesn’t exist even when you present overwhelming evidence. That’s how dogmatism work.

The Christian description of a god is laughable, illogical, ridiculous and overwhelmingly irrational. It doesn’t agree with anything in reality.

Hmmmmm

But we all use to see some signs of spiritual powers and miracles which means to me that there is God.

Or is it a coincidence or better still, should we attribute those things to nature?

First of all, I will address your topic. Is it not laughable to think that an omniscient being gives freewill?
How can freewill and omniscience be compatible?
In reality, there’s no evidence for spirits, it’s a lie that dogmatists hold on to even when they cannot prove it.

Your religion is a function of mainly where you were born, how you were bred and the kind of people that influenced your life. There’s nothing divine about it.

We have more than 4,000 religions and every single one of them think theirs is the truth. For someone who was born in IRaq, he thinks that someone born in southeast Nigeria, who’s most likely going to be a Christian will go to hell. It’s vice-versa.

And the lies goes on, we that are irreligious see all these and just allow you people paddle your boats of self-deceit and delusion.

The true God will never punish you for questioning Him, in fact He truly love those who will challenge His line of reasoning to be certain that He truly knows what He's doing {Isaiah 1:18} but first of all i must commend you for coming out to air you views on this matter.
It shows that you truly love God and He is watching you right now, in fact He has commaded his angels to focus their attention on you so don't doubt it if i say your name is about to be written in God's memory book of those who will be resurrected back to life in Paradise! Malachi 3:16 compare to Revelations 20:15

Do you notice that Malachi is the last book of the OT and Revelations is the last book of the NT?
Well God purposely repeated what i cited in the scriptures as assurance of His loyal love for those who keep thinking about Him.

I'm Maximus one of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, i know that my brother must have touch your heart with the seed of truth it's about the time when it will grow.
So if you want me to attend to your questions please join me in my thread entitled "Study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses"

Bring all your questions there and don't entertain any doubt for God love you so much that He sent His only begotten son to die for your sin, therefore if you exercise faith in God's son by trusting in his counselings you will live forever! John 3:16

Your position about religion is quite interesting. I got your point now.

So does it means that there is no God or a supernatural being greater than humans or you simply believe that organized religion all over the world is a scam?

Sorry for the many questions brother

Thanks for the sincerity.
Well i also would have opted for ATHEISM or AGNOSTISM after so many years in Islam but the day i met Jehovah's Witnesses was a turning point in my life.
YES their teachings sounds really strange unlike other religions but after reading the story of Jesus Christ myself i came to realise that his true followers will be viewed as confusionists whose teachings totally differs from all others and many will think they're demonized just like Jesus' contemporaries thought about him! Matthew 10:22-25; John 10:20

So there's no offense my friend, i wish you PEACE! smiley

Does His Anger not give you another information?

Does it not tell you like Common Entrance, He knew man can pass?

Do you not see that Adam did not fail?(for Satan tempts everybody)

So why then did Eve fall?

So did you not see that God attacked her Pregnancy?

Why the pregnancy? Does it not give you more information about what truly transpired between Satan and Eve?

Become a detective and conduct your own good investigation from the crime scene.

You have God's Anger, Eve played with Satan, Adam did not care about the fruit but because of sex, God Cursed Eve's pregnancy

Aren't there so many information to be acquired if indeed you are after the Truth or you wish to Condemn God but you just want to ride on the popular blind and Unjust condemnation of Him.

You are not getting the point sir, equating God with a mere human is not proper. According to scriptures, He supposed to know what will happen right from the time he was making man cos he knows what will happen till the end of time. Why then did he went ahead to make man that will be punished severely later?

So do you expect to hear fair comments from a Hater of God?

It's in our nature to attribute meaning to things we cannot explain or don't understand but it doesn't mean that what we will believe is true.

Don't take things personal pls. All we are practicing is what we have been told or written. It's now our duty to think rationally and know what is right or wrong. Like my pastor will always say, don't be quick to judge another person especially things that have to do with Spirituality.

I ask again, is there life after death?

Did you experience it yourself or someone told you about it or your argument is based on what is written in the Bible?

If your position is based on what you read in the Bible, how come different churches interpret it differently (JW especially) and what about of some Catholics that use to say you will go to purgatory (not sure of the spelling pls) and wait for judgement?

What I'm saying is that, different religions say different things about life after death, so which one do you think is true and why?

And what of those that don't know or have not even heard about God and Jesus Christ, what is their fate?

Lastly, what if all this that we believe is wrong?

OP, if there is life after death, then what is the essence of the resurrection which is actually a Biblical teaching? Isaiah 26:19; John 5:28; Acts 24:15
How come God told the first man Adam who brought sin and death to billions of humans(Romans 5:12), that he would return to dust i.e. non-existence? Genesis 3:19

You’re not getting it, are you? From the title of your thread, I was hoping you were basing your discussions on the Bible as to check its authenticity but no where in the Bible(Scriptures) have we been hinted of any such thing as life after death that is, when someone dies, something in the person keeps living on somewhere else. THAT IS NOT FOUND ANYWHERE IN THE SCRIPTURES!

We don’t know if there’s a God, there’s no evidence for a god.

Even if any exist, he’s obviously not an omniscient that gives freewill, he didn’t create everything in 6days, he didn’t kill everyone on earth in a flood except Noah’s and his family, he didn’t create men from mud and women from ribs 6000yeara Ago.

All the evidence we have says these things didn’t happen. It’s better to say that you don’t know instead of filling the gaps with jargons

Sorry to say this sir, you are deviating from my questions.

I ask again, is there life after death?

Did you not ask
"According to scriptures, He supposed to know what will happen"

So I have answered what you requested.

So this is a new question.

udoji2021:

I ask again, is there life after death?

Yes! There is!

Proof! You did not create yourself so neither do you know where ye shall go as you did not know where ye came from.

And exactly as you know the beginning of your phone, you also know the end of it,

So also do you have God Who knows the beginning of you and the end of you.

And exactly as you determine where your phone shall be, so also does He can He determine where you shall be.

udoji2021:

Did you experience it yourself or someone told you about it or your argument is based on what is written in the Bible?

As I you have experienced near death events and did you not See and Feel how you nearly ran out of your body seeking to abandon it, when danger was near?

That answers your question.

udoji2021:

If your position is based on what you read in the Bible, how come different churches interpret it differently (JW especially) and what about of some Catholics that use to say you will go to purgatory (not sure of the spelling pls) and wait for judgement?

Do weeds not grow in farms? and do members of your family not betray one another?

udoji2021:

What I'm saying is that, different religions say different things about life after death, so which one do you think is true and why?

As electricity shock and fire burn, Nature is the best teacher and the Bible the Best Counsellor.

All others are Liars and capable of Lying.

But Nature and the Bible, Do Not Lie!

udoji2021:

And what of those that don't know or have not even heard about God and Jesus Christ, what is their fate?

God has already said He would handle that and make sure everyone before He blows end of match.

udoji2021:

Lastly, what if all this that we believe is wrong?

Are you walking on air or on the ground?

You can Lie to yourself, others can Lie to you BUT As The Ground Under your feet and rain in June in Nigeria, God, Nature and the Bible, are as real as garri being N1,300.
