I have been wondering which country has the most Nigerian Immigrants. I know there are sizeable amount of Nigerians in the UK, USA, South Africa, Ghana, Dubai, China, Italy, France, Turkey, Benin, Cameroon , virtually on every country  For me I'll say UK, my assumptions are drawn from the foreign based end-sars protests, the numbers I saw during the protests, followed by USA then maybe South Africa. TMKsouth:I don't really believe that there are that many Nigerians in SA. Those headlines you posted seem to suggest that the claim that there are up to 800,000 Nigerians in SA is false and unverified. I think foreign countries with the most Nigerians, due to historical immigration levels, are the US and the UK with Canada a distant third. UnFashionIsta: The number was issued by the Union of Nigerians in South Africa based on ID cards they issue to their members. I agree it's contested numbers but they came from the horse's mouth (Nigerians), and not South Africans. It's a national embarrassment I know, but that's just how it is. 17 Likes 1 Share

Onethousandgoat: Nigerians in UK can’t be more than 500K unlike USA that has around 2M Nigerians. Am talking about legal and illegal Nigerians oooh, I remember in 2017, in the N24 news, Nigerians were in top 10 highest in Germany for Aduro matter, around 35K Nigerians. Benin Rep, Ghana, Niger Rep, CIV and Cameroon are the highest maybe around 3M each. TMKsouth:USA has the highest number of Nigerian immigrants at just under 500k. Uk comes second with about 300k. We africans seem to have a major problem with quantitative reasoning. 800k to 1M Nigerians in SA is just ridiculous. I saw a report dating back to 2014 that pegged the number of Nigerians in SA at around 30k. You SAns tend to overhype your immigrant situation. What economy do you have to support foreign nationals in their millions. I know that zimbabwe has the highest number of immigrants in SA and Wikipedia puts their numbers around 600k 66 Likes 6 Shares

Blurpy:It's not the UK. The reason it seems like the UK is because it's a small country and most Nigerians there live in London and when there's a Nigerian thing happening in London, they all come out. I think there are more Nigerians in the US but are spread out in the 4th largest country in the world. I'll say the US then followed by the UK. I also have a strong feeling that there are a lot of Nigerians in Cameroon but because i'll eyes are not really in that country, we won't know. Rgade: [b]Can u not read? I clearly said those figures were provided by Nigerians themselves in SA. South Africa does have the economy to support 1M+ immigrants, infact the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) estimates there are over 1.5 M Zimbabweans in SA. SA per capita income is over $12,000 while Nigeria's is under $5,000, so why wouldn't there be 800K Nigerians in SA? 7 Likes

How you will know the answer is by looking at the countries where Nigerians in Diaspora are thriving in large numbers. I would say UK and USA, then maybe the likes of Canada, Ireland, and other English-speaking countries. 2 Likes |

Iceyjayzz:Well according to those countries data They are only talking about Nigerians that are legally registered but what about the illegal Nigerians. Nigerians in UK according to data are less than 500K and same in Germany which is less than 100K |
