The IOM link you posted proves that Nigerians aren't event considered top 3 in terms of immigrant population in SA, DRC no 2 is estimated at 447k, no way there are 800k Nigerians in SA, imagine the kind of voting power such a group will hold, they will basically be a minority tribe there.

I see some pegging the U.K. to be 500k. Only undocumented Nigerians in the U.K. should be close to a million and the documented ones should be not less than 500k. In my estimation as a Nigerian living in Britain for many years, I’ll say Nigerians living here are around 2million. However, I think there should be more Nigerians in the US than the U.K.

This is the fairest guesstimate to me. Most people think of diaspora only in off-continent terms meanwhile higher numbers of Nigerians reside in higher numbers in other African countries so casually they could pass for locals.
