The fear of being cast into eternal fire after enjoying a great life on earth with basic necessities like they basically enjoy over there. So, this fear makes them seek an eternal rest. Who wouldn't do that. Its a win win and a wise thing to do. Enjoy on earth and enjoy in heaven. So you see. This is why they follow after Christ. They love God and worship and serve him mostly out of fear of eternal damnation.

As I read the stories online about his philanthropic efforts ,I was awed. I further looked at his burial pictures , saw the mammoth crowd at attendance and how he was greatly eulogized. The Holy Spirit instantly ministered to me.

The first message that dropped in my heart was " whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire".

A lot of people get carried away with men's approval of them and forget that it's God they will give account to on the last day and not man. Once you die , no one's opinion about you matters anymore, even that of your pastor, father or mother, cos by then it'll be between you and your creator alone.
You might not believe in the afterlife but there's surely life after death and we will all give account of everything we've done in this world , be it good or evil.

As the message was dropped in my heart I kept on thinking deeply about what God said , till the Spirit spoke further and said " that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in God's sight ".

As you read this thread now, who have you been living your life to please. God or the world ?, cos at the end of the day . It's God you'll face the moment you close your eyes and your spirit leaves your body.

He was eulogized by the high and mighty to the extent even Israelites had delegates attending his burial.

I promised myself not to say anything about him again either good or bad , but something was stirred up in my spirit last night as I had communion with the Holy Spirit and this led me to open this thread.

I read threads how a lot of people( prophets inclusive both false and real eulogized him and it got me thinking so much ).

After I went through his burial pictures last night , I went into deep thoughts. I was thinking and praying in the Spirit non stop , when the Holy Spirit started ministering to me and we had a lovely communion and I want to share some of the things I got from that.

You might not like the things I say here, but your opinion on this wouldn't really matter cos God gave me a scripture as my motto when He called me ( Let God be true and every man a liar) . This has been my guiding scripture all my years as a Christian.

As for your saying it's economic situation that forced me into this, that's ridiculous.
My late Dad owned a construction company and that was the main reason I actually studied engineering in school. After I graduated from school, I was appointed as the director of the company, but I rejected it cos God told me to forsake all. My parents even said I was mad then and started taking me to several men of God thinking I had gone insane.
When that failed , my aunt started making visa preparations for me and my immediate elder sister to join her in the US ,I also rejected that. My sister in question is currently in America and has spent years there. I can go on and on to tell you the sacrifices that God by His grace has helped me to make , but I'll not waste time on that.

T.B Joshua's death really exposed how empty and ignorant the average Nigerian Christian is. It made me realise that christianity in nigeria is a game of numbers not content. We have Christians in quantity not quality. Even the lowest level of the spirit of discernment doesn't exist in their lives, yet they move around with pride and pomposity, never willing to come of learning. To every genuine minister out there, this should be a wake up call. Teach your congregants life in the Spirit. Teach them how to grow in spiritual things. Enough with the prosperity messages. Teach them how you grew. When [b]believers are taught spiritual matters especially how to operate in the gift of discernment, they will know how to differentiate true from truth [/b]If they can't run against men, how will they run against horses; [b]if they can't differentiate between false prophets and true prophets, how then will they differentiate between the antichrist and Christ? Forget the numbers, Christianity is indeed empty in Nigeria. I really feel burdened and I wish my burden will be shared by every genuine Christian that walks by the Spirit.
