Just happy for them small now. grin, even if na friendly. These are stuffs made in dreams. And that's correct, unless you are stacked, coaching makes a lot of difference. In the end it won't matter if they are handled like eran ileya at the olympics.
Roland17:
I was really impressed by the showing of the Tigers. They moved the ball extremely well and penetrated the weak interior defense of the US. With that being said, I would like to see them play this level of intensity and discipline when the Olympics start. We hit our perimeter shots especially the 3, I think we hit like 20 or so.. Can they do same when it matters?

As for the US, the way the team is constructed makes it easier for opponents. There is absolutely no interior defense or even perimeter defense on this night. The combination on the court would determine how far this team will go else we would be relying on individual brilliance. A good team will use the pick and roll to tear this US team apart. While I understand some players in the finals will join the squad, I don't think it will much of a difference in terms of strategy.

Spencer dwinwiddie too, omo we get ballers for real na just lack of organisation dey Bleep us in the butt, But it's a blessing and a curse. Our local league won't develop like this but we'll definitely be Number 1 in Africa for a long time& we'll go toe2toe with any country now and Bleep yes we can win it all cos those soft calls in the NBA doesn't apply in international basketball. I'm impressed make i no lie..... our country is blessed, we have genetic freaks of nature here if only we could get it right from the Top, if only.

Troll ke? On the contrary. The leg break even saved him from further brain damage, between Na the check wey dustin give am damage him leg, him falling off on it was just extra and karma. See, real fight fans know a real one and and a hungry one. Connor has made money he dosent need to take further damage like he's taking now, he's one dimensional, no take down defense, no ground game, no wrestling, can't check leg kicks, can't grapple...... see let him ride on his fame&keep making money...

D’Tigers will be in action, today (Monday), vs Argentina at 9:30pm Nigerian time.

While D’Tigress will square up against…the USA next Sunday, July 18, at 10:30pm Nigerian time

Truth be told, I love the quality of friendlies that the NBBF have put together for both the D’Tigers and D’Tigress. I will be keeping a close eye on both.

What an interesting game of basketball shocked .

Go Giannis and the boys!!!

End of 3rd Quater.

No no no no no no. I know you're not trying to blame Giannis for Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday combining for 28 points on 38 shots!!! Not even the GOAT Michael Jordan would survive such incompetence. No player in league history will survive such rubbish play

This narrative that Giannis was somehow and in anyway the problem is problematic and needs to die swiftly. Is it Giannis that was making Jrue miss from 2 ft? Jrue took 14 shots in the first half. He only made 3! Two games vs a Trae Youngless Atlanta and everybody is forgetting how terrible Jrue has been these playoffs

Giannis play in the 3rd is the only reason that game didn't finish in a 35 point blowout. He's the only one with a positive +/-

The floor of the Bucks two other best players is unacceptable. Giannis on a bad night on his worst night will still give you 20 and 13 with 50% from the field. Jrue and Middleton on the other hand will go a combined 12/40. They will both play terribly on the same night and somehow people expect the Bucks would win?

The Bucks are a team seemingly determined not to play to their strengths. The difference is unlike Brooklyn these Suns have the personnel to punish them. Phoenix's role players are far better than Brooklyn
The beat down on Giannis I just don't understand, jrue and Middleton took 43 shots combined and both had bad shooting nights but it is still Giannis fault. I tire

PDPGuy:
I get your point.

But to be fair, the NBBF is among the best if not the best-run Nigerian sports federation. I’m impressed by how they’ve gone about organizing training camps for the national teams, and hiring competent coaches.

Besides, we do not hear the usual stories of players being owed bonuses or appearance fees.
Facts, I have been observing them for a while, they really understand how to do their job.

Nbbf is run by people who actually know the game of basketball, then the whole issue of politics hasn't crept in, (hopefully it doesn't) players aren't bribing their way or bribing the coaches to come n play etc. Between only a select few adore the game of basketball so.... It's not like football that every Tom, dicck & Harry is lobbying to get his guy, his brother, his state man to play for the national team.

beatdown where? Its a 1 game analysis. why it got to be like all or nothing - you either praise a player all day or hate all day. I can be a giannis fan and still say he didnt get his team mates going in game 2. and I feel vindicated because starting game 3, you can see the coaching decisions to draw plays involving middleton. not just throw the ball to him when there is trouble.

But this game 3 is fools gold. every team will have that one game where their shot is falling easy and the opposing team struggles early. Lets see how game 4 will look if Booker is stroking it early
