You would make a miserable policewoman, investigator, lawyer or judge.. so just because she said she was raped means she actually was? What corroborates her claim? Where's the evidence? Why believe the testimony of someone who keeps changing her story (unreliable witness/examination) ? Her latest version is that she didn't kill Ataga after twice admitting without duress to murder. She now says she went out to get something and came back to find him dead ! So how does rape feature in his murder

The unprofessional Nigerian police traced her down, arrested her and got a confession from her without her lawyer present (when the girl was still under the influence of the drug the rapist gave her). Now that she is fully in control of her senses she can now recall vividly what happened that night.

The conclusion is that this particular girl isn’t telling us something There’s more to it . Obviously there are bigger third parties that mostly assured her release .

Police should also invite his wife for investigation or questioning. This might sound stupid though. But our police men are very unprofessional.

Lie detectors are not hundred percent accurate and are therefore not reliable as evidence in court.

It goes to tell you how daft the leadership of the NPF is. Imagine parading a suspect before the media, allowing her prejudicially to be interviewed by the press. Has trial by the media replaced the judicial system in Nigeria? In saner climes. Life cases can be reported but not discussed in the media.

If they are very professional, they will easily get the truth from the whole issue. Investigate, analyse etc. It's not difficult when they are willing.

Simply work with the theory that the girl was 100% culpable but aided and abetted by some other malefactors. Full stop.
