I asked an elder to advise on this matter. He said that from experience quest for vengeance never ends well for all parties involved so if you can forget this matter. It is wise to avoid and run when you see trouble coming...which means next time do everything you can to descalate before a slap happens.

Let it go. You will just end up giving the Police your hard earned money. You will not teach anyone a lesson because they will just waste your time. The justice system in Nigeria is not for everyone

If you have evidence about the incident go to any National Human Rights Commission office where you reside & report. The evidence could if you have any witness or a photo of mark on your face.

They will summon the woman & they don't collect money.

There services are free. Some of my friends have benefited from NHRC
