Go for immigration if you don't want to be used to ur utmost dissatisfaction

DSS it is.

With DSS, you are exposed to a lot of top class training and intelligence gathering techniques.

Their pay and allowances is also good.

You can also easily become a security consultant after your service with the agency.

If you choose immigration, you will be hoping to be posted to a Passport processing office, a lucrative outfield office, MMIA (having low activities now), Oil platform like NLNG or the juiciest which is getting foreign posting to a first class European Country , USA , Canada .

Most of the job bit in Immigration are 'safe' except those in the outfield but they are mostly safe too if they don't involve in smuggling deals.

Basic Entry Salary for a Graduate in Immigration is also above 100k so its not a bad option too.

More money is made in either of the job options from 'runs' with Immigration having more of this but I believe this wouldn't be your focus. Lol

For DSS, if you are posted to Ops, it may be a little tricky when it comes to safety as you are exposed to all sorts of high calibre criminals but they are still far safer than say Nigeria Police or those in the Armies as some of them are only on the fields for intelligence gathering.

You said Safety is your top-most Priority, and yet u want to work under a security agency.

Although, the DSS has been so much ridiculed under the Buhari led administration, I have come to understand that power is transient. As nothing good lasts forever, so does nothing bad. This administration is being used to test our resolve and resilience as a people of different nations. By nation, I mean the inclusion of all indigenous nations being, the yoruba, igbo, ijaw, gbagyi, tiv, idoma, nupe, benin, berom, hausa and all other nations of this country excluding the Fulani groups coz history has it they are normadic migrants. They don't have a place to call their own except by conquering and domination.

My brother, abeg, where una dey see this job so tey u dey make choice? Assuming you're not just fantasizing or day dreaming and the options are in it's entirety real, I will choose DSS over immigration any day, any time even if I'm asked from my sleep

If you work with Immigration Service, people can come to you for advice or consult you if they want to travel, and for this you can charge consultation fee excluding your base salary and allowances.

Since security is your priority, immigration it should be. DSS takes you on transfers unnecessarily, unlike immigration.
