Got a request some minutes ago, spoke with rider on the phone, in my head I profiled her, she would be a problem. Surulere to Mayfair gardens, I used rider app to check the estimate, 7k-8k5... I said to myself this rider won't pay this amount but I say make I fulfill all rights... Got to PU, waited some, then she came. Asked her if she knew the estimate she said No, her son made the request... I showed her the estimate, she said that's too high say she no fit pay... I said "I know", bye.

Lol. I just purchased an ugly working perfect nissan sentra 05! Guess what, I am in love with the interior and clearance because i just drive am go akute and no single hit. Lmao. Take your time, search, take a competent mechanic and know you will still send 50-100k for tuneup!
I saw a nissan tiida around that price. Whatever car you buy. Ensure the interior is in good taste and first body. All other parts can be replaced but not the body.

Also ask for price of engine and gear and ac unit before purchase. Even ensure the ac is working before purchase.

Abeg my brother help me manage am grin

You are right about putting agreements in contract, it makes for clarity, but rent should be btw 40k & 50k for fairness , 2/3day for the owner and 4/5days for the driver,

Guy since you no invite me to come eat salah meat let me dish my annoyance on u. grin

Now, look at my earning for the whole of last month. Lets round it up to 300k for both offline and indriver which I dont do much. Offline I also dont do much again because of bonuses.

Now, assume rental to be 25k/week... Which is 100k/month.
I buy fuel 4k daily... 26days it 104k/month but let's leave it at 100k/month.
Let's forget minor money's I give as sara, police and others.

300k-100k-100= 100k

So can you see? 100k for 13hrs on the d road daily for 25/26 days... Mind you this money is not even guaranteed because there're lot of factors that can take 50% or 75% away in just ine day.

No health insurance from my partner
No pension
No leave allowances
To housing allowances
No feeding allowance
No transportation allowance (I've to pay for a cap to take my family out or go offline to do that)
No live insurance
No harverd allowance from partner.

All the partners I've had ever since I know how much of my money entered their car for maintenance so forget all those 100% maintenance... Audio ni

If I've to pay you 30k how much will be left for me? To foot my bill? All in the name that you bought a tokunbo car of 1.8ltr engine my ass that still belongs to you even after 3 or 4yrs? Guy are you kidding me?

Listen business is patient and for you to break even it has to take a minimum of 5yrs so where are you guys getting the notion of 2yrs?? Aren't you a highway robber

Come of it pls... Its because it's your car that's why you see it that way. Don't compare Mr. A with Mr. B they don't have the same strenght, tenacity, endurance and tolerance. My ideology is different from yours.

I can rent Your car and decide to park it in my garage and pay you at the end of every week from proceeds from my other business... I've done this b4 for like 3months erratically with the civic... Anyone could tell from the millage. Why? because I needed to be mobile for personal and business purposes so why tell me pay 30/40k, for what??

Guy if you need that lets sigh a hp agreement. So car owners should stop having the mentality of entitlement or thinking you're doing yje driver a favour ok. Its business. If it doesn't favour you sell the car and look for other things to do.

25k/30k is okay for rental any body not okay with that should hit the road and see how difficult it is to be faithful with even 25k for straight 3months first b4 thinking of 30k.

Very nonsensical argument.
Based on laziness

What can you say about a man who wants to make his capital all in 6month even at the detriment of another man's life? Isn't that worst than the greedy wicked driver that works hard enough to be faithful to his rental??

It seems that London you're doing uber has affected your thinking.
Keep quiet you lazy Bugger, there is never any sense in your arguments except laziness and perverted advice, you need to redefine your thinking, nobody owes you anything, your sense of entitilement is very annoying, work hard thats the trick and stop giving silly advise, l despise laziness

Baba, we cannot keep doing things the same way and expect a different result. Corolla now na 2.5m. Matrix self don pass 2m.

I read elsewhere you said you drove the civic for 8 months. Can you remember the cost of all the repairs done within this time frame? To put into perspective, in the last 8 months, I have spent roughly N300,000 maintaining my Corolla inclusive of 5 oil changes and filter.

Off course i remember vividly almost all expenses carried out but remember it wasn't my car so i can't release information of such to the public it's somebody's business records so I do not deem it fit or see it as proper.

I hope you understand.

Even if I'm permitted to release such a vital information I do not think I'll because some persons who don't subscribe to my ideology and phylosophy in the hustle and even those that wise my enemies not me death would benefit from my experience and hard work, no it's doesn't work that way.

This man self... What do you think of yourself for heaven sake?!! Who told you you're employing anyone? For goodness sake! You're rendering a service and that man(driver) is only renting you fuckin car. Get this into your empty skull menh!

God damn it!

A number of people mentioned and disagreed with my opinion on what the ideal rental rate should be and the nature of the arrangement between the driver and his partner, I enjoyed reading them and have respect for their opinion even if I dont agree with all they said.

Then there is you felicity, who in your normal abnormal self quoted me and spewed thrash.

I have read through many of the things you openly owned up to doing, from dropping people on 3rd mainland bridge at night, to driving your partner's car to the edo state, having frequent issues with lastma, police, frsc, lawma, ferma, to hopping from partner to partner......many here may not have the courage to let you know these are disturbing behaviour for a normal person saddled with conveying others safely to their destination.

At best, your behaviour is probably more suited for agbero or danfo driving than ehailing., at worst you have an emerging psychological issue.

Its better you respect your old age and not quote me again.

Well, it is a very good deal... sold my 2003 sport version last month for 1.7m despite being used on the platform for 2 years and also had an accident. The major factor is the maintenance culture. Corolla has a very high 2nd hand value, more than any other car. Bought the car as toks, nov 2018, stared the hustle April 2019, accident may 2021, fixed and sold June 2021. Bought for 1.450m, served 2½ years and sold for 1.7m. Bottom line is the maintenance culture.

Up till today I've not shared my experience with area F police on a Friday night and how the commissioner himself came through and I doubt if I'll even share it. Let people fall prey so that by then those Londoners and Americans can come through for them with their own experience abroad since Nigeria and abroad are now the same.

Ive been following your post, my Bro pls keep your advice to your self, your advise is always destructive, no wisdom in it!!
Always running into problems, due to taking short cuts.
Every week one problem,

The only way I see the Lagos State government taking the business away from Bolt and Uber is to allow their ehailing cars use the brt lane... Subsidize the fare for riders, give driver bonuses and placd them on a pension and allowances scheme.

Most importantly, drive the car like it is your only hope of survival....
even with an average oil, service after 1k mile....
Try to open and close your trunk yourself... most corolla out there lock the trunk with rope.....
Caution riders to close doors gentle.....
When it rains heavily, don't drive.....
Wash regularly.....
Then you'd be fine......
