Dear Nairalanders, please I need clarification.

I have had this same personal beef with Christian religion for years now.

My father's friend died, the church refused to bury him because they said they couldn't testify to the deceased life as neither he nor my dad were active members in the church (the nature of their work).

This lead my dad to Muslims that accepted to bury this corpse and that was how my father got converted to Islam. This was before he even got married and had us(his many children) he always told us that christians don't love like Muslims do.

I got converted at 13, the love I had in/from/for the church was immeasurable in my teens. But as an adult, I have faced rejections from the church more than 3 times because I don't follow the rules.

Is church not supposed to be a place of spiritual cleansing/worship alone?

Why is church now an organization?

Must we be part of a church to make heaven?

Why is it that churches won't help you unless you are an active church goer i.e.
1. You have to pay your tithes with proofs.
2. Be active in one department or the other.
3. And attend home-cell e.t.c.
Before they can support you for;
1. Weddings
2. Naming
3. Anniversary
4. Wake-keeping e.t.c.

It's pellucid in almost every church. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and we don't do all those rubbishes, and businesses prevalent in supposed churches.

I was a Catholic, and I could relate to what you are saying. However, do not relent if you have a thingy for Christianity. You only have to find the right one. My number is beneath this post.

You have said almost all the reasons people leave the church but if you're a Bible-reading Christian you'll know that these things are machinations of satan. Bible says "while men slept the enemy came and sowed tares". Christian faith is not predicated on how fellow Christians treat you but your relationship with God. Christ was betrayed, denied, doubted and even abandoned during His time on Earth by His disciples, family members, and friends including John, the Baptist (His forerunner). Yet, He prayed to His Father (who even forsook Him) to "forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". In Christianity, like the story of Job, perseverance is key even if it was God that has allowed the devil to afflict you with diverse persecutions because at the end, these are tests that are worth it. Paul is a testimony. Converting, reverting, etc shows instability. Hoping co-christians can give you succour shows you're a baby Christian. The devil operates more in church. So, see the church as a hospital and keep the faith. Yours in Christ

My dear see..forget all these doctrines. The bible says train your own children in the way they should grow, and they will not depart from it. dont leave the work to pastor or teacher with the mindset that you are going to church for your kids.

See on sunday you and your husband can teach your kids the sermon every sunday and they will learn the scriptures very well..

From your Post, your grouse/beef is properly with the persons who claim to be "Christians" and yet not ChristLike!

Christianity or ChristLikeness is not Dicey or Unstable, but unfortunately there are False Persons who Claim "Christians" and these persons are Dicey, Unstable and Everything UnChristLike, as you yourself have experienced and encountered.

It is unfortunate, you have been encountering these kind of persons but I say these are the days Christ Warned about so they are the ones you are Likely to come across.

The solution is, seek Christ for yourself and keep His Commandments, it shall be Well with you, as we who Keep His Commandments attest to!

Have you ever actually picked up a copy of the Bible to read and understand it for your own self apart from the lies that your head is obviously filled with where Jesus Christ and His teachings aka the Truth of the Christian living is concerned?

Please pick that book up again and this time, try to read through each book contained as you would a great novel so you can properly let the words and stories sink into you. Read through as many times as you have to in order to understand the Words Jesus Christ has been saying to you.

What I listed, was referring to how difficult it is to identify the true body of Christ without the conditions of church doctrines.

If a relationship with Jesus Christ is what you seek, then read through each of the Gospels as many times as it will take for God to open your eyes to His Truth, helping you uproot the lies that you have been fed in the past , in His name.

In Jesus Christ, it does not matter what happens to your corpse when you die. Even if it gets turned to manure or chopped up and fed to the dogs- it does not matter at all.

I don't blame some churches doing these. U see, some members can be very cunny in the church, some try to be too clever. E.g 1.They don't help others when others needed help but want others to help them. 2. They are not committed members. They come to church whenever they like but maybe committed in other churches they feel is more valuable. 3. They only come to the church when they needed help. Once u av helped them, u won't see them again in the church untill they need help again. These are some of the reasons.

but biblically the church is defined as the body of Christ. and in the book of Acts we are told not to "dwelleth not in temples made with hands"

And you are a man like them (even if you have what we call a vagina, you are still a man) so therefore you can deal with them.
