I consider myself a highly-functional junkie. It helps me to cope with the vissitudes of life especially in obodo Lagos. Why I no go high, na me create myself? Life hard abeg. The problem begins when you begin to feel guilty about the act or when you start to over-indulge to the point where it starts to affect your life. I suspect you are guilty of both.

I just wish I could stop smoking these damned cigarettes and at the same time, I don't want to stop. But I must!

What does lexotan + dinamogyn do for you?

I'm more of rohypnol + happy pills dude. Then I love me some Arizona/loud then the occasional colorado to tempt fate. I love my alcohol - gin, whiskey, tequila, black bottles of beer (Legend in particular), etc. Only thing I wish I could stop was the cigarettes.

Me and my cigarettes sha but I haven't had any of it in 3weeks lol,funny thing is I dont really feel it. Been smoking for 3
3years and I do take some months break in between this years to kinda detox,I'm just kinda in control of things.

There is no romanticizing it , you all used your hands to füvk up your lives and most of you will end up with kidney failure, failed careers , failed lives and marriages . Infact most of you are naturally narcissistic sociopaths that's why you ended up as addicts

This isn't a movie, by the time most of you reach your forties your spinal chords would be fücked , 99% of the women will be barren from drug abuse ...

U may have to be specific in terms of the drugs. However, it takes serious determination to quit. It's definitely not easy, probably the biggest challenge of ur life but u can certainly do it. There's no secret to it. Talking outa experience.

Hey Candidlady,

I hope you get some help soon, you sounded like a friend of mine in Abuja(Life Camp) it has been a long battle that she's still loosing, really wish I could help her but I couldn't.

My advice to you, do away with your social status, discard your like minded friends, have a new set of friends that can help you overcome this, also, Identify what brings the urge to indulge, that's the real battle you gotta face and win.

I hope that you come out stronger, and help others get out of it as well.

I used to be addicted to alcohol.

Nigeria is in need of specialists in this drug rehab theatre. There will be a massive implosion of drug use in the next 10 years if nothing is done.

Going forward, farming can be one of the ways to rehabilitate the mind.

As a lady I still find it hard not to do kwaya (drugs). Bad influence I guess or maybe because I saw my dad and his cliques doing it so it rub off on me

Been to rehab couple of times, currently taking a counseling class although I haven't attended for like a week...

I find myself doing it although deep down I don't wanna, but it is something I can't help

Please if anyone is going through this phase or has passed and overcome kindly share your experience to help conquer this war against drugs and alcohol
