Change your friends and make sure you're always with people/someone you can't do such in his or her presence.

May God Almighty help you

As a lady I still find it hard not to do kwaya (drugs). Bad influence I guess or maybe because I saw my dad and his cliques doing it so it rub off on me

Been to rehab couple of times, currently taking a counseling class although I haven't attended for like a week...

I find myself doing it although deep down I don't wanna, but it is something I can't help

Let's talk adyegodwin24@gmail.com

Please if anyone is going through this phase or has passed and overcome kindly share your experience to help conquer this war against drugs and alcohol

Thanks

Addiction is real and deadly

The problem is that you have lost focus in life. You have no goals/aspirations and nothing to live for. That’s why your life means nothing to you. You are not doing the things you had wanted in life. Somehow along the line, you missed your way. It’s not late though. Addictions can be overcome but you have to have something to live for. Something must appeal to you to make a change and it can’t be forced. Search deep in your soul, there is a void yearning to be filled. Live for something!

What’s worse than drug and alcohol addiction is when you add gambling to it cry

It’s rare to find boys and girls that grew and schooled in Abuja that don’t visit Zone 3 regularly (If you know, you know)
I grew up in abj have been in abj for more than 20yrs I'm even typing from abj now.

And I don't know what happens in zone 3...so pls tell me...what happens there

I might be wrong but I feel you need therapy. Most drug users are just trying to fill a void. You need to dig deep, these issues usually stem from childhood.

Also try to rediscover what you've been passionate about before you knew how dark the world is, before you knew money. Childhood desires in the period of naivety are usually the purest.

I used to think every man needs a vice but later realized every man needs something they are passionate about, discovering and dedicating yourself you it might be the breakthrough you've been looking for.

May the Lord help you.

Man, i been through that shit and it was demolarizing, it's called depression, i battled with that demon for several months, it feels like i wasn't going win, i had a job and i earn decently as a 19yr old young man, i got money to take care of myself but i still get sad daily and there's always this tingling warm saddness and pain that dances on my heart. I mean i did almost eer'thing to get rid of depression, i bought a brand new expensive phone, always stack my home with energy drinks, i helped for a while and it stopped giving that excitement, i felt it was because i was lonely, i go out to party, swim, and mix with new friends, but only made it worse.
Eventuaally, i changed the kinda songs i listened to, i do listen to sad songs before, like them Juice Wrld and Bleep, i switched to listening to only Polo G songs. So, i encountered a movie called "Law of attraction", i watched the movie, it really taught me how to get whatever i want, anything i want. It says "You are a magnetic and whatever you say to yourself positively or negatively will always leave a effect on your daily life basis" You can be what you want and what you like, you are the designer, artist and author of your life, if you say "I want to be happy all my life" it will manifest, only if you control your mind against any negative thoughts everyday, only see the good side and ignore the good side.
My point is that, you can stop depression, and drug addiction with your mind and thoughts. You need to see that movie, it's avaliable on Netflix even on Youtube. Watch the movie try it and thank me later. Ciao.

Ahh... it's the morality police again.
Nope. I am calling you by the name you gave yourself. You've indicted yourself before anyone did.

Oga gambling is not an addiction is gred for money. Bro drugs u feel it inside of you

You see, gambling is not mostly greed of money. Some do it for the thrill, like I do. There is this joy of accomplishment that comes with winning, that's why gamblers continue to bet after losing and some end up as addict

Truth is I have given up on God... Like he never hears me..

I once slept in my car somewhere around finance bridge here in Abuja over night... Was so stoned I couldn't drive..

Even God overslept on Sunday and that was why the devil was able to crawl into heaven

Abuja based..... Your addiction will likely not make changes....

Seems you stay around zone3 where those drugs are easily gotten....

I do t know how you people let addiction to power down your brain...

Used to be a chronic masturbator...... Many years ago... Was so I to it that I wouldn't stay a day without wanking up to seven times before I could think straight...

Then I got tired and decided to get a girlfriend.... Was having sex and still masturbating....

But then, I wasn't working... So after school, I got engaged and I was too busy to even think about sex... Wouldn't let down myself to it... Was at the ICT department and I had free access to internet... but never stream or downloaded a porn from it ..

Point is.... Nobody will tell you anything that will help you go through a retrieval process .... Only you can make the determination and stand by it...

Unfortunately, we are in a country where the government sees nothing wrong in indiscriminate sales of drugs of abuse. Trams was said to have been banned but come to bridge head market and other open drug markets in Nigeria and see how people still sell trams and other controlled drugs.

At the end, many Nigerians end up as addicts, develop health complications like kidney failure, mental health problems, liver failure etc. All these add up to the low life expectancy in Nigeria plus the growing insecurity in the country.
Until the government make and strictly enforce laws that spell out stiffer punishment for unlicensed and open market dealers on drugs, we'll continue to suffer the consequences of drug abuse. Drugs shouldn't be handled just like other articles of trade because public health and security are affected by indiscriminate sales and use of drugs.
