@ emboldened, pardon!!
People are always a co offender in the case of bribery in Nigeria look at this particular case of Kyari a private citizen in the person of Hushpuppy was willing to offer the bribe, then the petty situation like, stop and search, particulars, drivers license, etc most Nigerians are usually guilty and instead of making sure to present those things you will find out that these people will prefer playing this little game of hide and seek with the police both side seem to be enjoying it.

I know that the Nigerian police just like every other police in the world have some dirty history of abuse but if Nigerians can comply, I bet the police will have less and less need to ask for bribe, for us yahoo boys, we have our own case, if we didn't commit cyber crime why should we panic in the front of the police, unfortunately sometimes in these whole events careless and unprofessional handling results in casualties don't forget that the police are Nigerians too, they didn't fall from heaven, they are part of the system and unless there is a complete overhaul, Nigeria still have a long way to go.

Nobody holy, if you have the chance to make millions of dollars from hushpuppy regardless of who you are won't you take the opportunity? I know most people condemning him will do so without a second blink.

We're all hypocrites.

Crime and corruption are not good but let's look at what he did from a personal angle for us to understand that it's not easy not to roll with a popular big boy like hushpuppy when everyone was familiarizing with them and such chance came up for him.

I'm not supporting crime and corruption, all I'm saying is let him do the time if found guilty of what he's is indicted for but let's put ourselves in his shoes for a second to understand the mouth watery offers he got from hushpuppy that put him into the mess and let us not be quick to criticize him because most of us could have taken such offers.

In as much as we must let justice prevail in our society to cob such bribery and corruption, we must also give a fair hearing to culprits.

Criminal rehabilitation and justice I stand.

It's isn't easy for him.

To be objective, sir you are very right. Many of the folks saying things won't even blink if they had the opportunity to...

But bro, kyari is a law enforcement officer, someone who is entrusted to uphold the law. I am not even talking about the money he received for a service rendered because if he was smart enough he would lay emphasis on it being a gift and not payment. My own bone of contention is as an officer, somebody reported something to you, deep down you know it's not right yet you played along just because you wanted to 'cashout'. What if he had talked hushpuppy out of doing the extreme and made him settle it amicably with Vincent maybe just maybe the stain wouldn't be this much.

Subsequently, what was the need sending personal pictures to him. Like why the attention Hush should be the one running after him and not him trying to prove a point of how gloriously decorated he is.

So Goodluck to him

I am following this trending news keenly. We have seen how Kanu was extradited at once without any court order. We are also watching how they want to forcefully extradite Igboho to Nigeria.

Now, my question is. Why will the FBI with a court order still seek the approval of The Nigerian Govt and the NPF to extradite the Supercop?

If FBI can extradite an ordinary citizen without even getting a court warrant, why then is Kyari special after all, he has outdone and broken a lot of records.

More revelations will unfold in the coming weeks as I see Cubuna and some top goons who will go down the drain as well.

But mind you, I stated this on my whatsapp timeline yesterday that the FG is trying hard to bury this case by lobbying the US to set the case aside as this involves a Northerner and of course, A top 'so-called celebrated supercop.

It's time to reap what he has sowed. No mercy. Let him face the music. grin

FBI don't have the right to make arrest in foreign soil without the state's permission. Nigeria is a sovereignt state and that must be respected by the USA regardless of the so called treaty.

If Nigeria is a working state, USA would have allowed her to investigate and prosecute him. Kyari is a Nigerian top security personnel, no sane country will release her top security personnel to foreign state for prosecution except in a case of genocide or war crime.

Let's see how it goes between FG and FBI

Then Nigeria should withdraw from the treaty and reject their Greek gifts afterwards.
No problem with withdrawing from the treaty, that will only be applicable to future criminals, this current one must be acknowledged.

If the police are not demanding for bribes, people won't offer them one except the criminals ones

Other African countries extortion by police is not that worst like Nigeria even though population must be considered but still still..

Our institutions are not independent, infact the laws are selectable.. How many times have they banned road block still they are still operating

Our double standard no get end:

*lawyers: "Benin Republic shouldn't handover Igboho to Nigeria."*

*lawyers: "Abba Kyari should be handed over to America."*

Like you mean that if you walking on the road, with no crime record and nor potentially incriminating materials on you, you would give police bribe, man that's not fair unless you are manerless, don't have respect for the police, lack confidence and lastly don't know your right. If you meet a police man, feel cool and confidnt, greet him/her ask how his work is going, be sure to not have any incriminating materials, Naija police at least undergoes some trainings and not exactly barbarians in the very whole, but the fact is that Nigerians are sometimes criminally minded which also includes the police, it will be very hard for you to find a Nigerian youth currently who does not have a crime record or intention to commit one manner of crime or the other,

Wait, are you not residing in Nigeria? Why arguing with police when one can just give them something and waka without allowing them to implicate you.

Do you think you can pass through MMA when traveling outside of the country without giving bribe to any of the officers, they would make you to miss your flight, they will do it deliberately.
